dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Italy were the better team but I can't stand the gamesmanship, absolutely hate it with a passion. That said they look like the best team in the tournament at the moment.
The Bonk
Italy play well together, are a balanced side, that has gelled nicely in the lead up to the tournament and further done so through the group stages, knockout round, into the semi finals. Mancini has done well bringing this squad together.
joeyt
Is Belgium's 'Golden Generation' really over if there's another World Cup in 18 months? If they can sort their centre backs out they surely can have another decent fist of it in Qatar
Kanj
Emerson is a good replacement but Spinazzola was absolutely sensational this tourney.

McCormick
Italy have benefited from having probably the best manager in the competition (you could also argue for Enrique tbf). What top level football competitions and leagues have shown us recently, is that well-drilled high-pressing teams with coaches that have defined footballing philosophies will usually do very well. If they can sort their centre backs out they surely can have another decent fist of it in Qatar Vertonghen will be 35 and Vermaelen 37. Alderweireld nearly 34. Unless they've got defenders coming through 'sorting out their CBs' will be a major issue.
Kanj
Chiesa is some talent. Incredible player.

If he is half as good as his old man… Great game last night, good football all-round, the Italians are looking ominous!
