Not only does he not look washed out or pissed off, he actually looks very well and perfectly calm and composed [emoji38]

Honestly ... this is just ridiculous!

He’s brilliant. Wouldn’t swap him for anyone TBH. Love him…

Can't believe how down beat Eddie looked.

For a second I thought someone must have died, such was his body language.

At this stage its a matter of days before he leaves the club, in fact, id have him on suicide watch.

Just seen Eddie's press conference impression I gained unless it was the camera, he looks  washed out and well pissed off, very down beat not his normal self.

Jet lag dude, they all look fucked.

Because it’s far from the end of the world, he’s not going to come out in tears is he? We were always going to end up cashing in on one of our elite players at some point, we will reinvest and move on.

Eddie always makes everything feel better. Calm, measure and diplomatic. He must be class to work for.

Must be why his nephew gets a free ride.

A few (thousand) fans could do with taking a leaf out of his book.

Why does he get a free ride, is he shit at his job ?

I would question the capabilities of the assistant head of first team recruitment given the way our last four transfer windows have gone.

Ahh so it’s the assistant’s fault, not his Managers or the sporting directors (that’s just bailed on us) or last DOF that was on gardening leave for months.

I blame Steve Nickson too.

Joking aside. Him and Nickson are just out of their depth. Very good scouting lads who are being expected to cover the Sporting Director role.

I don’t disagree with that, but they will have been asked to step up in the short term. I’m sure once the SD role is sorted out they will revert to role.

The Sporting Director role has been a giant void for over 2 years now and is a huge part of why things are so bad off the pitch (along with Eales).
Hopefully these roles getting filled will start to smooth things out.

Oh not blaming them at all, they shouldn't be in this position.

This summer has been eye opening as to just how shambolic we are being run behind the scenes, it like someone shone a torch into dark room and we saw 100's of cockroaches scurrying on the floor.

With all that said, I had never been more grateful to have had this absolute colossus of a man leading us. I absolutley love him.

Think people will maybe project how they're feeling or what they want to see onto what they see in him a bit. I didn't notice anything different about him tbh, nothing like his interviews after Mitchell was appointed last summer.
