The only solace/rationalisation I can come up with from this whole situation is the possibility that the sale decision has been made largely because it is aligned with what Eddie believes is best for the club.

Of course this is what it is. People believing he had no say in this.

Who runs the football operation if it isn't Eddie Howe?

If Howe's turned to Yasir and said this cunts past saving - it really speaks volumes on Isak as a character. Mental really, especially treating the manager that's elevated you to that level like this.

This is what I imagine has happened. But ultimately that was apart of the game right? If he was to succeed in forcing his move it's what his card was. It was up to us to pull it not reward it.

I'm choosing to believe that Isak is going because Eddie and by extension the squad demanded it. Even if we take a haircut and look like fools in the media, you can't put a price on squad harmony and morale, we can't have this place turning toxic.

Maybe it's just me but I can't help but feel our recruitment priorities have shifted, I expected this as obviously the manager has short term goals to hit and a degree of inevitably exists. (Why im not a fan of manager led recruitment).

I'm sure Eddie will get the best out of his players , but I hope we haven't taken a step back.

I'm not a fan of manager led recruitment either, but there are mitigating circumstances. Howe has shown he has remarkably good recruitment instincts, and we really needed an answer to the Isak hand grenade lobbed into our season. On this front he has to be happy.

I mean that doesn’t take into account Bruce didn’t have a cunt who refused to play who could have probably scored a few goals. I’m hoping you are taking the piss? If not well 🤦🏻

It was more aimed at the typical mainstream media even having the bollocks to compare the two!

We could be highly motivated next time we play the bin dippers

It won't matter, them fuckers have the hex over us and nearly always have in the PL era. They must have a good few 90 + winners against us too. Collymore, Fowler, Carvalho, Nunez, that young kid. Probably more too.

We used up the next 30 years worth of good fortune back in March, though I must say it was worth it.

I do honestly think I'm at a point where I just won't be able to watch our games against them. You'll either be robbed or heartbroken, or both.

I genuinely believe Eddie has given the nod to sell him, for the greater good of the club, which is what he always comes back to in interviews.

I also believe Isak crossed a line with Howe that Howe cannot come back from. Others may disagree but it's definitely how I see it. I also feel he has crossed that line with a lot of current team-mates.

He’s going to love training the next couple weeks. No transfer nonsense and a settled team. Fresh start. It’s unfortunate but our season starts now.

A chance for us to let this all be behind us and look forward to the drubbing coming to Wolves a week on Saturday!

Now that Ratinho is no more, should be giving Eddie his flowers for the calm collected manner in which he managed this situation when I am pretty sure he must have been seething inside most days.

Having to deal with the same shit every presso, while trying to keep the rest of the squad focused. He had no playbook to call on yet managed it better than expected.

I actually feel proud that he is growing as much as the club is growing and this past shit show is going to be a great learning experience when looking back on it.

Thanks Eddie.

ps: not that I want us to go through anything of the sort again.

this shit break comes at a bad time, we could really use it to gel new players, rather than most of them traveling all around and coming back injured even some of them.

Howe needs to now work on tactics as that week after the break with Wolves, Barca, Bournemouth will not be easy.

Not naming them but we'll piss on two of them, except Bournemouth.
