Sorry to burst bubbles, but just because people dont post, re Howe out doesnt mean they don't.  Ive had a liad of shit because im Eddie out and still am, he is not the guy to take us forward to where PIF want us, and as most know on here Im a supporter from the early 60's and been on here since 2007, whereas some have only turned up on the last few years.

The point being made isn't that the Eddie out people not posting have changed their mind, it's that they don't post when we've won.

I’m more worried about Eddie leaving than us sacking him. If and when he leaves, there will be a massive gap left as we have proven there’s few areas in the club without a continuity and succession plan.

We’ve had so much turnover in our back office, the long term focus of the club is under constant refinement.  We’d be fucked right now if he left and looking more fragile than Spurs.

Eddie Howe, on the pitch, has outperformed PIF, off the pitch.

Having watched NUFC for so long, during which time we have been mostly average to poor, you should know better than to be advocating replacing Howe at this moment in time.

This is the perspective I just can't wrap my head around. You do realize that only PIF (and our CEO/business operation) can take us where PIF say they want to go, right?

Eddie has added more to the club's bottom line over the last four years than anyone else. He is Head Coach and Director of Revenue Generation.

Then who the fuck is because I'm not seeing any serious suggestions. Fuck sake, after all you've gone through with the club you'd think you'd know a good thing when you see it.

To be fair I really do hope our board has a list of potential managers to take over for Eddie. If they dont, we are in deep shit as every business should have a BCP. I do really hope they are not looking into the forum for inspiration when/if they have to pick their next manager...

Is it a good thing the way we have played this season? Is it good enough to have lost to Sunderland? Is it good enough to be behind Brentford, Everton, Bournmouth on 10th and potential behind Sunderland and Fulham today at 12th? Have we progressed the last 2 season?

If we continue to play the way we have this season, then im joining wyn davies on the out team and I do think Howe himself will be on it, but I do hope Howe manage to turn it around and that we also get a grip with our backroom staff(directors etc) and start move forward again. This season has been a big decline in so many aerias, the Isak saga, the transfer window, what is going on inside the club, why are so many leaving in different positions, training facilities, stadium, +++

Following up on that last point with some very rough math and my own made up stat:

Eddie Howe's Revenue Earned Over Expected

PL TV Merit Payments: +£33m

UEFA Broadcast + Prize money: +£48m

UEFA Matchday Revenue: +£24m

Carabao Cup Matchday Revenue: +£15m

Total: +£120m

Those numbers assume an average manager would have also saved us from relegation, qualified for the Conference League once and Europa League once, made the Carabao Cup quarterfinals every season, and finished 8th in each of his full seasons (14th in 2021/22). It also ignores commercial revenue increases even though it is directly related to our performance.

who is this mythical coach we could attract to bring us to 'the next level'?

a bad managerial appointment could set us back years

Dalglish being one example and Souness another

think people understimate just how difficult it would be to get an upgrade on Howe and the risk involved

Hope is guy is getting plenty of plaudits for brave personnel and system change? Playing with, in effect, two number 8s enabled much more forward momentum with the ball, which was a refreshing change, clearly not what they were expecting (they couldn’t cope with us first half) and worked a treat. Both Ramsey and Willock had great games.

I don’t think Howe is the long term solution but I think we need him to steady the ship for another year until we actually have people who can do their job running the club.

Fairly ridiculous to suggest anyone is expecting the board to be looking a forum for inspiration... But I think it's fair when you post Eddie Howe is not the right manager to take us forward that another member can ask who you think is that person. The bold also seems a little harsh to lay at Eddie's feet in my opinion.

As for is it good enough to be behind X clubs - I'm happy to wait until the season finishes to see who are behind and even it is clubs we should be above I still think sometimes you need to plateau before kicking on again, we have made some seriously fast progression and it was always going to catch-up at some point.  Again only my 2 pence as it were

Doubling down on a manager change being the solution to this season’s league points and position (thus far) is one hell of a leap Wyn.

Not asking you to name names although if you have any in mind... What type of coach, level of experience, age profile etc. is the long term solution?

I think we need someone who can play more progressive football and not rely on athleticism. I dont think that works when playing every 3 days unless you have a massive squad or have special inhalers.

Enlighten me... what is progressive football?

Do you not run, challenge etc.?

Every successful side has a deep squad - even more so nowadays but even going back to Fergie's Man U teams they always had options up front and in midfield and could rest when needed or replace an injured player.

Last season's PSG team were a joy to watch probably some of the best football played in years but they are not a patch on that this year due to their exertions last.

Each to their own and if Howe is not for you then fair do's but some form of athleticism is required in the Premier League across the whole season and in my view the club needs to keep progressing to hopefully \ eventually give him a big enough squad to cope with playing every 3 days or so.

If we struggle after this then yep it would be time to reconsider but at the moment I don't see a candidate who could do a better job with the existing squad, no worries if you or others do though
