Love the little Steve Bruce diss, hailing Fabian Schär as a unique player in the PL and then "one of the first things I did when I came here was to put him in the team"

* Poor results

* Poor performances

* Rigid formation

* Shit, predictable subs

* Poor in game management

* Can't rotate a squad

* Can't manage 2 games a week

* Doesn't improve the backroom staff (echo chamber)

* has no faith in youth players

* Only one plan (A)

* £120m worth of strikers on the bench

* Two promoted teams now ahead

* Relegation possible with 4 games to go

* Picking his favourites, even when out of form

* Multiple players wanting to leave

* Throwing young players under the bus in public (who happens to be arguably our best player this season)

* Double derby loss

* 25 points lost from winning positions

* Thinks 6 signings were too much when needing another 9 at least to fix the mess of last summer

That's a lot of wrongs to right, and things to forget about to allow it to continue into next season.

If PIF came out and said that Eddie Howe will be Newcastle’s manager next season unless we get relegated is there anyone on here who would prefer us to get relegated so that Howe would be sacked?

If not, then why not park all the negativity until our position is safe because right now we need everyone rowing in the same direction.

Eddie Howe haters first, Newcastle fans second.

Pack it in man.  I don’t think the flip is true - ‘Eddie Howe fans first, Newcastle second’.  We all want what’s best - we don’t have to agree with how to get there.

Yes, we’re to blame for making comments on an internet forum.  I thought it was because we look unorganised and some of the players appear to have checked-out.

If Hall is left out tomorrow and effectively carries the can for our utterly shit defensive record (1 clean sheet in 20) I think it's incredibly harsh on him. He was shit in that first half against Bournemouth but it's about the first "bad" game I can remember him having, whereas Thiaw, Botman and the two idiots with the gloves have had numerous stinkers in that run. Even on an off day he's usually a solid 6/10 level performer.

Be interesting to see the lineup tomorrow anyway, Hall might start and suddenly the notion he's been blamed for our defensive record becomes a Harry Enfield Self-Righteous Brothers sketch.

First of all, the fans do show up and support the team positively. Second of all, nobody from the club reads this forum...so it makes no difference to the team's performance what anyone says here.

No, the fans are not to blame. But (at least at the ground) we need as many people supporting (in a positive way) as possible.

How do you know that players and/or their families do not read the forum? Anyway I am really referring to match-going fans. I don’t know how many on here do.

Agreed 100% on that.  To me a forum is like a post-match pub.  Getting on the manager’s back at the match helps no-one.

It was only a matter of time before users twist quotes to make a case he's vehemently against a popular player.

Next it would be we were good despite Howe.

If you're getting relentless negativity drummed into you constantly it'll bring your mood down. Doesn't matter where it happens, in the pub, at graft, on here.

If fans carry that into the stadium on match day, the negative atmosphere can and will transfer onto the players

We’ve had worse before and even had the players being jeered onto the pitch, but as that nice, friendly manager Bill McGarry one said “ a cheer is always better than a jeer”.

However, he was talking about Graham Oates, therefore it was bollocks.

Just as likely the negativity comes off the pitch into the stands. Seen some of that recently. Not see anything from the fans filtering to the players. Crowd have been more positive than the situation deserves.

It comes off the pitch and through my TV too.

Was positive at the Bournemouth game until they nearly scored (another) easy goal against us to make it 0-2.

SJP can be a horrid place to play and I think we will see that tomorrow. You can blame forums or anything else as much as you want, the man in the dugout and the players on the pitch are the bigger cause.

If Hall isn't following instructions then he literally has no other choice?  He's responsible for the team and results at the end of the day.

Remember when our early struggles this season were blamed largely on not having Hall (and Livra) availbale due to injury, so that we had to play a 33 year old CB at LB? This was often used as a bit of an excuse for poor performances. Well, here he is playing Burn over Hall on purpose, something that was deemed a "massive handicap" earlier in the season when Hall was out.
