Not surprised in all honesty, his stamina was terrible for a PL player and suspect it's just got much worse.

LFEE
Absolutely dominant player on his day though. Loved him, He could be but for no more than 65-70mins.
Tribesman
We don't even seem to have a transfer strategy anymore. At least before Benitez arrived it was buy decent young talent with sell on value, but they don't want to do that anymore in the case of Almeiron because of "astronomical fees". Offshore
Could be something, could be nothing, but..... A private jet has just landed at Newcastle from France with a single passenger wearing a tracksuit. Who, if you’ll excuse the generality of it - looks like a footballer. Papavasiliou
Absolutely dominant player on his day though. Loved him, He could be but for no more than 65-70mins. TRon
Absolutely dominant player on his day though. Loved him, He could be but for no more than 65-70mins. Wasn't there a load of stories about him running further than anyone in the league during his first season with us? Problem is his running was slow motion compared to the opposition in a lot of our games. We seem to buy a lot of midfielders with that problem, probably because the ones with a genuine motor would be costing a lot of money.
sbnufc
Would take Cabaye back on a free to the end of the season 100%. Can't see why anyone would be against it, given our CM situation
Guest chopey
Cabaye would do a job for us but how long would it be before he asks for a transfer to a bigger club like Barnet or Burton ?
Doctor Zaius
I dont thi nk he would do a job. 33 now and released from Al Nasr, clearly he's finished. Good player on his day but he repeatedly went on strike to get a move. In a era of mercenary cunts, he was one of the worst.

hakka
Would take him back given our midfield situation. 4 stars out of 5
No idea. Could be down to personal reasons, maybe he wanted to go back to Europe. 4 stars out of 5
He's only 33 tbh. I'd take him honestly, our midfield is absolutely stinking, and we need players. I don't know what his current condition is though. It is stinking! People think it's not even that bad it's absolubtely lifting. Not a pl standard midfielder among the lot of them. Shelvey if he wasn't bone idle
4 stars out of 5
BHH. Always be in nufc folklore for that goal at old Trafford
Tiresias
Not sure I'd have him back but do agree 100% with how bad our midfield is and getting a few seasoned vets on the cheap would not be a bad idea all things considering. Ashley won't buy anyone though, especially not someone over 26.
