Also does my fucking head in that this clashes with the men's team game. There are so many simple wins to get more interest in women's football and avoiding men's fixture clashes seems like one of the easiest!

They're making a bit of a habit of doing this. I'm going to guess the timing is decided by the league rather than the club. Still.

Can only assume that must be pre-agreed as part of the loan as she has done virtually nothing since joining to justify a perm move (largely as she’s been injured for about 4 months).

Getting tired of us of passing it to their player and about 10 seconds later they're down the other side of the pitch vs. 100 passes and we are just outside our box ... oh, and struggling against near bottom teams ... oh, and realising 10 minutes from the end and totally dominating for the last few minutes. Amy Andrews looked better on the wing (as she did for us). Doubt the rest of the teams will do us any favours tomorrow.

I honestly think we have over-philosophised and to an extent over-professionalised our approach this season. We seem absolutely set on trying to control games as that’s the footballing philosophy we’ve bought into based on its success in the men’s professional game - but the reality is at this level of women’s football the quality is so patchy that it just doesn’t work. Keeping the ball doesn’t really matter (to an extent) because the quality isn’t there for us to restrict our opponents chances and all we end up doing is getting suckered into low scoring games. Every game we look a million miles better when we start to panic and throw players forward. If we’d played like we did in the last five mins we’d have scored 2 or 3 at least today.

Totally forgot about the game given everything with the Barca game - but that's a hell of a result and not one I expected. We've been pretty poor this season but are now right back in the promotion mixer. Palace (who are 3rd) on Sunday, so we could get knocked right back out the mix again straight away but equally if we win that then we are absolutely right in the hunt going into the final three games of the season.

Continuing the scheduling clashes

There is an estimated 3 hours between the end of the derby game, and KO to this game. You could easily attend both games, let alone sit at home watching them both.

True. Read my diary wrongly. Just as well you commented, or I would have totally missed the men's match.

Hayles & Murphy. Presumable, since Hayles can't run / close down, she is going to stay around the box, where, in the past, she has shown she can do some damage, and Murphy is going to do the running. I can't remember them starting before (at least recently) and it looks like an attempt to address the lack of goal threat.
