That can’t be right on Spain, surely? In the CL, rather than just Europe maybe?

Off the top of my head I’d go:

Barca

Real

Atleti

Bilbao

Villareal

Betis

Sociedad

Mallorca

Valencia

Deportivo

Celta Vigo

Alaves as well, the thing I was reading must've been out of date/wrong. Damn you wiki.

Spain have had 9 clubs play in Europe (I think), Italy not many more. England must be streets ahead in number of European representatives.

Spain must have had more than 9

Real

Atletico

Barcelona

Bilbao

Zaragoza

Betis

Seville

Celta Vigo

Deportivio

Mallorca

Valencia

Sociadad

Scotland can't be far off that ffs 😂😂😂

Celtic

Rangers

Motherwell

Aberdeen

Dundee U

Hibs

Hearts

St Johnstone, Kilmarnock, Raith, St Mirren definitely have, got to imagine Dundee too, did Gretna not?

*forgot Stoke before, so 32 teams (at least - Sheffield United, Burnley not sure about) (not including Wimbledon and Bradford in the intertoto)

Turns out it's only 4.

2 Glasgow Clubs, Aberdeen and Dundee United

Must have got my wires crossed, was listing teams that had played in Europe, wasn't sure how many games.  Don't know what the 4 is about.

Grenta played Derry I think and got knocked out. For ages Dundee was one of the only cities to provide more than one European cup semi finalist along with Belgrade and Milan but I’d imagine London, Madrid and Manchester all figure now.

the comical thing about the mackems European adventures was they didn’t even get out the English stage of the Anglo Italian, Italy ended at Southend for them.

4 Scottish Clubs have won European Trophies.  Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United.

21 different clubs have represented Scotland in European competitions, which is quite a high percentage given there is only 42 clubs across the top leagues set up (albeit a lot of them are only part time/semi-pro)

Germany/West Germany excluding East Germany has similar representation as us from the look of one site. Cant tell how many games were playe but one time qualifiers include Viktoria Koln, Wupperthal and Offenbach Kickers
