You seriously wouldn't fancy Leverkusen, Marseille, or one of the Italian clubs against Bournemouth or the mackems over two legs?

Nah. They'll be even better next year too.

Your posting history is fucking horrendous like. Exclusively this thread you useless mackem cunt [emoji38]

There’s also one in the Nick thread where he references his own goal. It’s all a bit sad but I’m sure he has a fulfilling life otherwise.

Reckon they’ll be a decent bet to get relegated next season. They won’t have the squad to cope with Europe and the league and they’ve over-performed this season significantly points-wise. Just look at their goal

difference

Yeah, I fancy a non English team to win it next year. Bournemouth and mackems have a shot but they’re not favourites, particularly mackems - they’d have had a good shot at the conference.

Brighton should win conf.

People actually thought Chelsea would beat these

No such thing as a banker but this was as near as you can get. I won £390 off it anyway.

Same, but  £280. Felt inevitable they way this season has gone

Ironically, looking like AC Milan will be in the Europa as it stands, along with Juventus.

Bournemouth in is a bonus, as it is a bit of a joke 6th place getting Champs League (although obviously wouldn't have complained if that was us), plus they will be a contender and I can imagine it would have been fodder being added in their place had Bmouth sneaked into the CL instead today.

This will be the first time in most mackems lives that they've qualified for Yewrup, whilst we've been in so many times we can't remember.

They'll struggle next season, all the late winners and equalisers won't happen again. It's probably the worst PL season I can remember, considering the quality of teams that's finished in various positions.

They'll get excited for now, but it won't last.

Anyway, we need to concentrate on our own problems first.

We don’t know that and football doesn’t work like that. It’s rarely linear, a poor window, injuries, loss of form, being found out, more games.  Really early days

Playing in Europe is going to wreak havoc on their squad. When you stand back and look at it it’s an insane amount of extra games.

Be interesting to see if they kick on, clearly got a good manager and DOF who is all over the European leagues.

If you’re a young player in the French league say and can play in the Europa League under Le Bris, it could get even more embarrassing for us this summer if we’re shopping in a similar market for players.

Could just as easily see them getting relegated next season with the extra games, but their recruitment is next level to ours, so wouldn’t be surprised to see them do well again.

Until the last few windows we were talking about how we never missed on a single transfer howay

Haven’t seen their game yet . Don’t know what team Chelsea put out, but presumably they gave less of a shit than they did against us.

It's fine, we've got 'have you ever seen a mackem in Baku' as a back up option.

As I said in another thread, they've done really well this season and have deserved where they have finished.

Football is always about peaks and troughs - we don't have a god given right to finish about them all the time. If anything it should spur us on next year to make sure it doesn't happen again.

To be fair SAFC are nailing the whole peaks and troughs thing! They have come a long way in ten years, but still third best NE team on average.
