Sales are probably phone only for now but of course the lines are unreachable.. Once you finally connect after 5-6 hours of trying, the people are usually very helpful but you have to dictate your card details on the phone like it's '82.. So amateurish, year after year.. We've been in a few times and it always seemed to cater for families, celebrating special occasions or whatever. Well the first thing this new government regulator should be doing is looking at ways to prevent these resale sites from being able to openly offer football tickets at above face value. I know it’s apparently difficult because they all operate out of foreign countries, but if they really, really wanted to, I’m sure they could legislate to at least make it considerably more difficult to do. Unfortunately there are always people with a bit more money than yourself who are always willing to pay. We’ve heard the argument for years that we need more corporate, and people have dismissed it. The fact that our own regular fans are now annoyed about the cheapest corporate being inaccessible is just further proof to the point. Apparently there was a problem as I don’t have a North East postcode and it is the Sunderland match (…not like there’s no Makems living in Tyneside 🤷♂️).
