This is going to drag on and on. Fab suggesting that Liverpool have to make a sale, Diaz maybe, but that doesn’t seem too close. My prediction, total and utter copium or delusion is that he rejoins first team training ahead of the Sela cup and is on the bench at Villa Park. Then it will be too late for the move, move will then happen next season.   He’ll be our striker for the season

I hope not, there's no turning back now he's made his intentions public. We can't have anyone playing for us not giving 100% incase they get injured and jeopardise their next move. Get him to fuck.

Don’t think he asked to leave but he’s the last first team regular that I didn’t want to see go actually leave.

We absolutely fleeced Leicester tbf and weren't competing with them. Last one that really actually stung for me was Carroll. Ba, Cabaye etc were bought on the premise of leaving and neither of them ever meant anything to me.

PIF not catching anywhere near enough shade for all of this.

We've absolutely no direction as a club, senior management all over the place, wrong people getting hired which in turn has lead to this situation with Isak.

It's not all on them of course, Isak could have gone about this more amicably, but we wouldn't be in this predicament if we'd shown some ambition over the last few windows and sorted his contract situation out.

I don’t believe this for a second. even if he was on 300k he’d want away

True but it was a sale that spoke volumes of where the club was at that time. Perez was a key part of our team and he was the last sale that was a key part, like Isak is now. I was sad to see ASM go but I understood it.

This one just hurts; like I said before not turning out for preseason matches is just rat behaviour that I never expected from anyone in this squad.

IIRC Liverpool have the ok to the move but Gerrard got cold feet when (allegedly) some scouse gangsters put the pressure on

Typical. The club have no people associated with them with the capacity for violence. Right when you need them too!

They really need a CB and possibly a winger not forgetting. Nunez’s move has fell through. Nothing seems imminent and I can see a world where he’s back in training with the rest of the squad ahead of the season

PIF absolutley deserve pelters for being absentee landlords and ultimately they carry the can for the club being a rudderless ship at the moment. I'm not sure I can blame them for the contract situation though if Isak truly wants 300k per week.

That's not a sustainable wage for where we're at right now as it would reset the clubs wages structure and at the same time Isak absolutley has every right to demand it given his ability. There's no way he should be earning far less than Sancho, Maguire, Mount or any of the shitebags in the Saudi league

Like I said, do a Parrish. We can give him what we can, he’s on contract. What’s difficult to understand about that?

He's the best player at club since shearer man, rather than "fuck him" give him what he wants..

What he wants is to leave. He has three years on his contract and we’ve just got CL football. He doesn’t pull this move if he wants a contract upgrade, he does it because he wants to leave

We'll find out his motivation soon enough if Al-Hilal come in with £150m. If he turns them down, money isn't the motivator.

If all of us fans are looking and talking about the mess that's going on upstairs, what effect does that have on the more ambitious members of the group. We've squandered a golden opportunity to build upon our most successful season in living memory, that failing lies at PIF's door for me.

He wants to move, but he is professional. Cabaye played until he was sold and wanted out many times.

Aye it kind of went that way, with a few moments of joy by way of exception.

How did you feel at the cup final last season?

I ask, as it must have felt for your generation and before it was never happening

Cabaye? He didn't, he refused to play.

And neither has Isak. Season hasnt started yet. If he refuses to play against Villa, I get your point. He knows the club doesnt sell him if there is no replacement
