Approaching the crossroads right now and the direction we choose to take will have an impact on every single other player we have, or will sign, for the foreseeable. Digging in now or caving in will define the next few years for the club - I know that sounds a bit dramatic but the decisions we make in the next 20 hours will essentially send a message to the fans and the sport in general.

It's looking like they're about to cave in though unfortunately and that's incredibly disappointing. I ca understand the logic of just getting rid of him but we've now given ourselves a problem every time a bigger club comes calling. Hard to reconcile the "number 1" shite Yasir came out with if we completely collapse once one of the bigger teams come calling at the first time of asking

As much as we would all like the pound of flesh that comes along with making Isak stay and apologise, the truth is that the club are going to be pragmatic about it. I have always expected a deal to get done for that reason, it’s simply too much to ask them not to add 100m or so to the PSR equation. Their job is to remove all the emotion and just make a pragmatic decision and the risk of him losing value or getting injured or whatever is too great not to sell. It sucks.

I'm not feeling terribly sportswashed, man.

[emoji38] haven’t felt it a long time.

Not one single part of the club is on its way to being the “number 1” Yasir promised on that fucking (shit) documentary.

Seriously how would the press know what PIF want - it's utter b*****ks - no one has a line to Yasir.  So I am taking all the reports with a pinch of salt - they've pushed this agenda all Summer and this is their last push.

Surely if he’s finally going the club have someone else lined up as a striker!?
Absolutely mental to consider going into this season with the squad as is.
Saying that, if Isak did stay how he’s reintegrated is beyond me!

It's not even slightly dramatic. It's completely accurate. That's what is so frustrating about the entire thing. Forest get it, Brentford get it, Wolves get it. What the fuck are we playing at.

This is where I'm at.

It's bollocks until our bosses say otherwise.

Likely it was never 150m, its all just posturing and we see it all the time...don't know why anyone thought it is different just because it's us. If we wanted 150m we'd have said 165m from the get-go.

I don't think we wanted to sell but reckon 130m was more like the figure we had in mind IF we decided it was the best option.

Not having a 2nd striker lined up does make it seem fucked, but maybe there's another Nick W surprise lined up!

Which is all fine and well...

Provided we have a replacement

Might be Eddie saying "Get rid at all costs". He values squad moral alot it seems.

Exactly - they've been saying it's happening all Summer. Yet here we are less than 24hrs before the window shuts and he's still here.

Newcastle need a striker

Wolves: stance and price that matches the situation

Brentford: stance and price that matches the situation

Liverpool need a striker

Newcastle who also need a striker, keep getting quoted stances and prices that match the situation and currently have one of the best strikers in the world with 3 years on his contract : how about we knock £20m off the asking price to you, the club that unsettled that player and stopped us getting our number 1 target? No? £30m off?

8 out of 10 supporters would begrudgingly accept a 130 million sale to those cunts with a replacement sorted.

1 out of 10 supporters would the alternative being peddled by the client journos

Right now I'm starting to think it's more likely to be £120m.

I can't imagine Eddie saying get rid without a replacement. Especially after yesterday. In a CL season. With the world cup on the other side of the season applying pressure on the player to maintain match fitness.
