Players come and go, it's the nature of the game, and as much as I despise them Liverpool are a step up on us, but there's a right and wrong way of going about it. Still remember how devastated I was when Beardsley left us for them in the 80s and even Carroll to a lesser extent (as I knew Ashley wouldn't reivest the cash) but nobody really held any bad will against them. If he ends up going there he'd deservedly get Owen levels of abuse because of how he's acted.

 

He won't put in a transfer request and continue playing because it'll cost him £millions in loyalty bonuses. He's decided to just down tools refuse to play. He's a greedy cunt and a shithouse of a bloke. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

Yep - I don’t have a serious issue with Isak wanting to play for a more successful club for more money.  But he’s hardly a naive kid - he’s acted like an absolute cunt here.

Should Isak and his agent get away with all the skullduggery that's been going on, I believe that player values may well collapse ultimately, as, why would clubs invest in highly valued players, if they can do an Isak and potentially lose  their investment due to players going on strike and not working as per  their contracts.

If there was any truth to him telling the club it was his last season 12 months or however long ago, surely he'd just come out and say that? Especially if he tried to sort a new contract and the club pushed back. Doesn't have to be aggro, just the facts. 

 

If I was getting panned for shitty behaviour and there were mitigating circumstances, I'd give my side. Leak it via an "unnamed source close to Isak" if needs be. But no, silence is deafening.

Tapped him up in plain sight through the mouthpieces in the media, no doubt behind the scenes too with full support from his crooked agent.

They have form for it and all the evidence of his quotes towards the end of last season about staying supports it.

Feel like a broken record with nothing seemingly having changed for a few weeks but I really hope the club to take a stand and refuse to sell him to Liverpool this window at ANY price never mind £150m. Sell him elsewhere later down the line and whatever happens until then so be it.

I understand why others chose to do so on Saturday but I would imagine if he stays then he will be backed when he's on the field (so long as he looks like he's trying) even if it's without any underlying affection.

 

Dabbled a few times in my early 20s but the only white powder I've seen in decades is for my morning coffee so wouldn't say that makes me a cokehead.

Which is fair enough - and as a general rule I wouldn’t either for most things, but in terms of players / managers / owners shitting on the club, I’d listen to the voices of those going, given that they’re most directly impacted and give up their time and money to do it.  I watched the match in a pub on Saturday night and left mildly irritated by a draw which would’ve been a win with a centre forward; if I’d paid my money, went down to Birmingham at stupid o’clock on a Saturday morning and then watched in frustration there’s a good chance I’d have let vent too - and I wouldn’t have needed Bolivian or peeve to make me do it (though I agree it is likely a bit counter-productive).  The away end is the vox populi of the club.
