Klopp's points tally at this stage last season had them sat third, they would still be 3 points clear at the top with the same return this season. I think Slot has improved them as a team, but the massive lead they have is more down to the drop off from the others.

City will probably start picking up points from now with the easier fixtures. Probably not like winning every game as they used to, but it's unthinkable that they keep going like this much longer.

Thought this for ages. People don’t like the ‘red cartel’ clubs because of ‘the fans’, when at least they have enough fans to always comfortably fill a stadium. And if people don’t like them, they will be far less annoying when they’re actually winning stuff, hence why no one has as big an issue with Man City fans. I don’t remember it unbearable when Liverpool won the league in 2020.

Nah they were actually ecstatic when City won four in a row six league cups in a row and all those FA Cups. Cause it’s “null and void” they loved it. Fuck newcastle might aswell support City because if we come second, who cares? Its null and void. city won and that means nothing except we dont get a trophy or anything. Null and void. Lets go city. Fuck up Arne. I was Pep to win so we can have ANOTER shit season watching City steamroll teams because “at least it’s not Liverpool” a team who sold a 150 pound player to progress their squad. That’s not how it should be done. It should be straight money, no selling, pile up the players and let them steamroll the rest of us because at least it’s not Liverpool who have been shit for 30 years and cost us a league 25 years ago in a one off game with integrity nah. You do know people are allowed to think differently to you

 

Liverpool winning isn't an issue for you but for those that it is there will be reasons for it, reasons which aren't any more or less valid than yours

 

I don't mind Liverpool winning it now so much since Klopp has left but the role that club has played in keeping us down is a factor for the dislike, plus knowing arrogant and obnoxious Liverpool fans in real life is a factor too

At least Liverpool are a real club who even to get to THIS POINT, had to go through 30 years of shit. Sure they got a couple trophies along the way but not the one they wanted and they won the UCL ffs. Liverpool to me are a REAL football club. Man City were born in 2008 and are basically a cybernetic program. It’s not real. It’s fucking Terminator. This is a blip for City, they’ll be back next year with 400 new signings selling their youth to the likes of Southampton to fund big money deals. It’s just not fair. They’ve fucked up the Premier League, something I really respected, admired. I get it, it’s capitalism but they went overboard and gave everyone else no chance.

It depends on when you start looking at things, Liverpool got big investment, it was just a long time ago so the amounts of money seem insignificant but they got money pumped in, there just wasn't any rules in place and that's what allowed them to become a "real" football club, same for Arsenal and the same for Man U.

 

I find this idea that they are somehow these organic football clubs quite laughable, all had big investments which allowed them to become "real" football clubs and build their success on the back of it.

 

At least Man City don't pretend, they are what they are because of money being pumped in. Those "real" clubs are no different but they pretend otherwise and the real nauseating bit is they are the ones that are stopping others from having a chance.

Every club has money pumped in but the way City do it is OTT I say this all the time but a squad player to Man U was Kieran Richardson. A squad player to Man City is 45£ Matius Nunes. That is plain not fair.

I enjoyed it in the 90's but that's more because that's when I grew up as well as us competing for the title for a few years

 

I disliked it during the Ashley years so much prefer it now to then but dislike it now because of how shit FFP/PSR and all those bollocks have made it

 

And it's Liverpool/Man U/Arsenal that have pushed for those rules and made football about spreadsheets and accountancy jargon
