If we do win this bloody thing, we'd have beaten half the cartel in doing so.

That would be nice. And we've got a damn good chance.

And faced the top 4 (at present) on the way…That must be some kind of record……Wonder in any other team have had to face the top 4 during a cup run??

Plus another solid PL team in Brentford too. I know the EFL cup isn't as pretigious as the FA Cup, but if we beat the top 4 teams in the league to win it, including the side in 2nd over two legs in the semis, and top of the league in the final, that's a hell of a cup win.

They're still strong favourites IMO mind, but we have competed with them in most recent matches.

ChatGPT: As of now, there is no documented instance of a team facing all of the top four Premier League teams in a single League Cup campaign.

Also - remember that these buggers got guaranteed home draws in the third round?

One off game, Pope between the sticks having a worldy, compsed defence, hard working midfield, early Isak goal and a late second goal on the counter when they're throwing everything at us.

Our time has come, records are there to be smashed into smithereens.

Glory. 🏆

We’ve not lost a 2 legged semi final as far as I can remember…..Rangers 1969, Spurs 1976, Southampton 2023 and yesterday.
