If a stronger team wins 1-0 at home, then scores early over there, the contest will feel over just as the second match begins, and I also like the prospect of pens, whereas it's much harder to get 2 identical results to force ET if the rule was still present. Best change they've done IMO. Aye. Used to be shite seeing a home team taking a lead into the second leg, scoring an early goal and it being effectively tie over. The College Dropout
Love away goals. Added so much drama. You can be winning the tie and 1 goal means you're out. We've lost that jeopardy. Real Madrid are the only team that have made the CL exciting in recent years with their high-scoring games and dramatic comebacks. Top level football needs more jeopardy and luck. Top team playing away 1st and no away goals reinforces dominance of the strongest teams.
Conjo
Nice. Ajax defenders are allowed to save the ball with their hands.

Yorkie
Loads of goals in the Europas tonight. Freiburg overcame a 0-2 deficit on the night to beat Lens. A big comeback for Qarabag against Braga too. Surprised to see Betis and Frankfurt go out of the Conference League. You look at who's left in and there really isn't a great deal of serious quality in the way of Villa. Lille, Fiorentina and Fenerbahce looking like the best of it. Ajax too; not sure what sort of shape they're in, but good to see that they've recovered from that remarkably terrible start. They were so lucky to go through. 38% possession, 3 shots on target in 120 minutes. Should have been down to 9 men and a penalty against in the 49th minute but ref bottled it because he had just sent off an Ajax defender a few minutes earlier. Bodø/Glimt hit the bar 3 times and dominated them in general play. Absolutely robbed

Mad that their manager is still there unless he’s a massive oddball I’m not aware of. 2 hours ago, Yorkie said: A big comeback for Qarabag against Braga too. I know it’s bad money but absolute scenes for their winner. Sparta Prague ripping Galatasaray a nee one the result of the night for me. Prague football massively on the up the last couple of seasons it seems.

The PL clubs in it should win it every season. The purpose is to get those non-top 5 leagues deep into Europe playing competitive matches and it's great for that. Great for fans too - some great away games. Friday off work it wfh - brill.
