But given that hearts are so close, I watched their game against Motherwell, and tonight's Motherwell v Celtic. What a fix. In fact given Rangers’ travails over the last couple of decades, they may be the most protected. They’ve utterly corrupted the division they’re in. Every referee and football official will have one of them as a ‘second team’, as is the norm north of the border. Happily, you never see nonsense about the two of them joining the English league anymore. Given the choice I’d rather have a British league with every other Scottish club in it, and leave those two to play each other forty times a season - which they more or less do already.
