We were specifically talking about the Euros, which are a year and a half away. I am not talking about the following World Cup. Kane's abilities will probably not be reduced so much. Fullback is way more of an issue.

Are you suggesting that England put Kane out to pasture for the next Euros? If he is firing on all cylinders and doesn't suffer any serious injuries, then you won't need to worry as much about another striker coming through, as we are talking about 18 months.

No, I’m asking which strikers we have coming through? Surely it’s a genuine concern?

Nope, I’m criticising the media claiming he’s leant from the previous tournaments. I couldn’t really care less if he stays or goes

I don't think there's any evidence to suggest he hasn't learned anything; I understand the criticism about his favourites but I don't see it as an issue.

However, happy to join you in media slagging. God Almighty Sam Matterface is absolutely rank. What an absolutely awful commentator he is. ITV as fuck. Imagine him and Darren Fletcher in conversation, welp.

Going into a tournament with only one striker?

Maybe Toney will stop gambling…

He took Wilson!!

Stop reflecting Scunthorpe United in opinion form, Gol!

Ah, edit, I see you were on about the Euros.

Still stand by my Scunthorpe joke.

Reckon Wilson will go to the Euro’s then?

I’m not criticising anyone here, I’m genuinely asking what our striker options are moving forward. Kane is a special player, I don’t know if anyone like that is coming through?

I don't think you will be going into the tournament with one striker, man. Once again, it's 18 months from now. And once again, you keep changing the goal posts.

How am I? I’m asking who our future forwards are ffs

The initial comment was about the youngsters. You fixated on a striker coming through, to which I replied that it may not be much of a problem for the next Euros if Kane is fine, as he will still probably be an elite striker. It will obviously be an issue if he is injured, but France would be fucked if Mbappe gets injured. I am not talking about beyond the Euros. This is just really odd.

Uninspiring

By an absolute mile the most inspiring England set-up in my lifetime, almost in my dad's lifetime. God yeah, can't wait to see the back of going deep into every tournament.

He was a nothing club manager, and he's now made a living out of being England manager. He's the international version of Glen Roeder as a manager. Nice guy but can't win the big games or make tough choices. If he was really proactive he would have designated a second penalty taker instead of being surprised that we got two in the same game. I'm never happy to see the same player take two penalties in a game. No criticism of Kane either, his first pen was one of the best in this competition.

Can you move away from your own original point (not mine) and get onto the conversation about what strikers England have coming through? You know, pretend the conversation has moved on?

It didn't move on as it just started when I responded to someone else's comment about the youngsters. It moved on specifically because you immediately moved it on. Jesus fucking Christ. You are having a mare this evening.

It doesn't answer the question though.

How hasn’t he learnt? Leaving game changers like Maddison on the bench. Playing a tactic of not passing forwards until France scored. Leaving Grealish on the bench until there was 1 minute left.

as I keep trying to say, I’m not even calling for Southgate to be sacked. I just disagree with the media who say that he learns from his mistakes.

Unless the teams we played were at the same or similar level, this makes no sense.

It goes without saying that a quarter final against Colombia and a quarter final against France are very different

Again, I don't particularly rate Southgate as a tactician, but criticising him for allowing Kane to take the second penalty is rather bizarre.

You’re completely right. Kane will be fine.

next point…. Any idea which young English strikers are coming through to take over from Kane?
