So basically Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Villa look pretty nailed on, this could very easily go to Everton on the last day, I'm confident we will hammer them.

So the team we're 3 points ahead of with an almost insurmountable GD, the team we're a point ahead of, and the team we're 2 points behind but play this weekend, have beaten three times, and whose only win in the last month is against a 10 man Ipswich are nailed on but we're not. A reasoned perspective.

Nailed on Villa at 5/4 with bet365.

Get down the bookies

[emoji38] not in the conversation at 1/25 with bookies

So if either of Aston Villa v Spurs or Chelsea v Man Utd is a draw on Friday. We’ll probably  only need a point to qualify for CL.

I think this is right.

We’ve already been over this, we would also be catchable by Forest.

It has to be both of them to get beaten for a draw to be good enough.

ManU and Spurs now is equal to me not even showing up for work tomorrow because Wednesday is so much more important. It’s almost like they are giving themselves an “ok” excuse to not be bothered at all.

I understand priorities, but I hope we never become like that no matter what. Should always do our best and try to win and build that winning mentality like we have done so far.

Im 100% certain that they won’t give their all, or even close. I can accept if we rest players sometimes and don’t manage to be as good, but the work ethic and aim to compete must always be there, otherwise there’s no chance of getting anywhere.

If people had a choice of a last day fixture between Everton at home or Man Utd away, surely you would choose Everton at home, despite everything around Man Utd.

Find it baffling that people assume this is a GUARANTEED three points for Villa, yet we’ve got a tricky fixture that we could slip up in.

FWIW, I’ve long been comfortable with our final fixture in the belief that Everton’s season effectively ends the week before with the last game at Goodison.

I wouldn’t be “shocked” if ManU or spurs managed to get a result, but I’m pretty certain it won’t be because of work rate and commitment.

Think Villa at home to Spurs is a Villa win 9/10 though.

Why sell Barnes? The guy gets a goal or assist every other game, nine Premier League goals this season, and half the time he was on the bench! I don't get it.

I'd keep Willock and Pope, personally.

Not saying I would. He's been linked away to Villa just like Willock has to Palace. I'm just saying there's a lot of players potentially heading out the door, they will need replacing.

That won’t happen if we qualify for the CL.

We would have just qualified for the CL and won a cup. Why would we make wholesale changes?

Im not saying we should. I'm just saying there a lot of players looking likely/certain to leave so they will all need replacing regardless of whether we like the idea or not

Watched the highlights back and mccoist and that other twat were waffling on about Everton being one of the form teams in the league. They have got 12 points from their last 11 games, was 9 from 10 before saturday ffs

Spurs and Man Utd have to be close to 'bringing the game into disrepute' territory.

I know they're poor but they're not even trying

Yeah at this point I think the likes of Ipswich and Leicester would have a better chance taking points off Chelsea and Villa than Spurs and Man United do. They literally couldn't give a fuck and will be playing reserve teams . Have said for a while now that I fancied Villa to get to 69 points but thankfully we are going to match that .
