I think this is where I’m at [emoji38]

Despise if he goes to PL, instantly forget he exists if he goes to Bayern.

Bayern can pay up or shut up, doesn't matter what Gordon wants, if his price isn't met, he can't go, so if he wants Bayern then it's in his best interest to tell them to cough up his worth. Someone will buy him and someone will offer us what we want for him, if it's not Bayern, it will be someone else so give over with the "gap in valuation".

I wouldn’t support him at Bayern. He’s nothing to me. I’d be interested to see how he performs, but I don’t care if he’s good or bad there.

As great as I think Eddie is - I think he'll bend the truth when he needs to. He may well have said Gordon had an injury, but i dont beleive that it was anything even remotely significant (like the one where the threw the towel in against barca), and equally eddie has just came out with some nonsense about why he isn't playing Gordon now. Eddie is fighting for his job, and if Gordon was anything other than a rat - hed be fighting tooth and nail to help him.

Ridiculous to label Gordon a rat.

Go back and look at how Eddie spoke about Isak when he was “injured” in the summer, and compare to how he spoke about Gordon. Chalk and cheese.

Gordon has done nothing wrong IMO.

I've lost a bit of affection for him like. Should've played his heart out until the end of the season, then OK he can go with our blessing.

If he's really been injured then fair enough, I can't say for sure.

Makes no sense to keep playing him and risk him getting injured when he's going to be moving on and there's so much interest in him, and the club needs to bring in that money.

He would be a bench warmer at Bayern...

Given it looks likely he's going to leave, what would people prefer:

1) Sell him at a slightly lower price, around £65M-70M, but it gets done before the World Cup

2) Sell him for something closer to what we expect circa £80M, but its becomes a protracted saga and gets dragged out towards the end of the window.

You forgot option 3) He has a shit world cup and Bayern a) offer £50m or b) sack it off altogether.

And what?

A) we are left stuck with a player we know wants to leave. Because that always goes well.

OR

B) Liverpool or whoever try to take advantage of said unsettled player by trying to get him on the cheap, fully backed by the media campaign.

OR (extremely unlikely)

C) Gordon downs tools and half arses his performances, picking up his wages until his contract expires and leaves on a free transfer.

It was my facetious and long winded way of saying "option 1) please".

Ha.

I rather Bayern, or anyone really, take Elanga for £70-80m.

But there's no chance of that happening.

And if it did happen, he'd only go on to suddenly become a top player... 🤣

Hopefully if Howe has said this. Something is lined up and potentially sorted. Can’t be having another summer of things like this dragging on until the last week.  Get it sorted early and move on

I've an inkling he's going to end up at the bindippers.

Those hobos will wait till Bayern agree a fee and then match it. They know we bent them over with Isak and will be reticent to take another pounding.

Could he be an alternative to Rashford at Barca?

I know they are broke but get Fermin Lopez or Ferran Torres or Olmo or anyone else we've been linked to from there

The problem with buying anyone from Barcelona is that you would more than likely have to offer them a wage increase to come here, and the majority are on more than we can afford to start with.

It's in Bayern's interests to buy him early, it's in ours to sell him later knowing he's going to go somewhere this window.

If he has a good world cup (assuming he goes) the price only goes one way. They'd be sensible to buy him now. Or more, we'd be sensible to sell him now

get an inside left type a young prospect that cuts in and scores then we can begin to accommodate the Wolte enigma . On the right we can aim for some daft cunt who can skin a man and whip over a cross. Eddie will be mulling over the possible combos after he's punted Elanga

Did it with Carroll too.
