It’s blatantly obvious he’s not grafting anywhere near as much as previous seasons - I really want that AG back but I’ll be surprised if he’s here next season. I hope I’m wrong and we get to see that AG next season in a black and white shirt.

I doubt Howe would be starting him if his commtiment was anything less than 100%. Form is another matter but regardless, if he moves then we get a big fee. Personally I don't see it, I just think it's fans not happy with his end product right now.

Maybe in that instance, but I won't simply forget it like.

 

That's not to say I think we should sell him or anything. However, I would be expecting him to take the goal into some renewed form in the new season.

Such a weird remark you keep making. Folk like myself could argue that you think you know more about body language by suggesting the opposite.

Like I said previously in this thread, his bad attitude for me is the way he reacts to fouls/non fouls. By the time he's stopped whinging and protesting, the game has moved on. It leaves us vulnerable and it's an easy attitude fix.

 

Sean Longstaff does it, too.

Yeah, a few of our players could do with getting up sooner if they're feigning .

 

Without Tonali busting a gut to get back to defend, we'd be done on the counter way more.

I don’t think it’s a body language thing, it’s effort. For the goal on Sunday his effort to get the ball back after he lost it was awful and earlier in the thread someone mentioned he gave up on a ball and Livramento ran past him to get it.

Think the assist stat can be a bit unfair as it relies on another player to do the hardest thing to do on the pitch. 
Gordon put 2 balls across the box on Sunday that I reckon Murphy would’ve been in on (no guarantee of a shot on target, obvs).Barnes didn’t make the run.

 

Isak has been a bit in and off. Gordon may have a couple more assists if Isak had been sharper/fitter.

I wouldn't sell him unless we need to mind we know he has ability and can be a real threat. 

He's just been off it this season other than a few spells of form and I think he feels sorry for himself when not fit or injured because he can't effect the game like he normally does.

Other than being a crybaby/slow to get up after he is challenged I dont think there is any problem with his workrate at all. 

And he had the same problem after being challenged last season aswell.

I totally disagreed with you then and I still do  Mind even I'm surprised how little game time he has had for a good few months. He will be away this summer as we move onto the next stage.

Also on Gordon, I think his problem is that he takes everything to heart and mulls on things for a period of time. The debacle of his lack of game time in the summer from England and then seeing reports of possibly being sold, definitely affected him at the start of the season. Whether it was due to him being frustrated that the club was even considering the move or if he actually wanted the move, will probably come out in the future.
 

Currently I think his form (same as start of the season) is most likely due to not being first choice again upon his return. We have seen at Brentford a couple of years ago that he can get very frustrated at relatively slight occurrences. I would neither be surprised if he is still here and has a great season next year or that he may be possibly sold if the club receive an offer they find acceptable. Any abuse of him through social media (and any player) is abhorrent. You will find that most of these people, will be ones who have a handful of games that they have attended.

Don't think he's been at it all season tbh, bar the arse cup games. I reckon that could be down to the fact that he'shardly had a break for about 2 and a half years though. Maybe after a decent break this summer his form will return.

You haven’t noticed the way he's constantly throwing himself to the ground these days at the slightest touch these days then staying down when there's evidently nothing wrong with him? Often needlessly reducing us to 10 men for a short while.

He stays down too long, yes I've noticed.As for going down, Bruno draws multiple fouls every game,he's a master at it, but his attitude doesn't get questioned  does it ? But my point here was more to do with people saying he wasn't fully applying himself since his move to Liverpool fell through, judged on his performances since,are talking bollocks.

And if you think there was no pile on as I mentioned, have a look at the match thread, it's an embarrassment.

Again people are entitled to an opinion. I very much doubt he's read through the match thread on here and as long as he's not getting abuse from thw match going fans I fail to see the issue. People just reacting to what they were watching I suppose.

 

I've noticed a downturn in his attitude and demeanour. Whether that's due to his head being turned by the Liverpool speculation or annoyance with himself for missing out on the biggest day in our history since 1955 I don't know but he's a different player to what he was last season. That's undeniable.

 

I'll be there on Sunday and if he's on the pitch I'll get behind him 100% so in the grand scheme of things questioning his attitude on here makes sod all difference. If he gets stick inside the ground then that's a different story altogether.
