And that is where you are misguided. Alas you wouldn’t know due to reasons you’ve already laid out. I’ll leave it there.

If they communicated better on Social Media (like NUST do) maybe I would know what they do. As they don't, all those points I mentioned above remain valid. Cheers.

I was in the Gallowgate for the Arsenal game last season, and two people behind me were asking me to sit down when I was standing up for decent chances we had. Couldn't believe what I was hearing

Just reading on X there. In the last month NUST have;

- Took 11 coaches to Aston Villa and 3 coaches to Man City
- Fanzone at Snobs
- Advocated for members to get a loyalty point for Qarabag (a)
- Arranged fanzone in Baku
- Pushed the club to allocate initial Barcelona allocation
- Arranged two cost price flights to Barcelona
- Arranged fanzone for 10,000+ supporters in Barcelona
- Arranged two watch along venues for supporters without tickets
- Attended workshops on memberships and NUFC Women

Some good work there tbf.

NUSC you mean?

They communicate to their members. If you aren’t a member then you’ll see very little on social media as they don’t grandstand. So they aren’t valid.

You’ve read a month’s worth of NUSC’s SM posts which I respectfully went through one by one shedding different light on each one. If that is what appeases you despite being misleading in some circumstances then so be it.

Only you can decide what makes you happiest I suppose. Only you can ultimately change your thinking.

NUST should grandstand more if they’re doing something as it appears they’ve done very little, what they have done has made things worse and i’ve not heard one person say anything poaitive about them.

Thought you said you were leaving it there earlier

Actions speak louder than words and their actions have been minimal to say the least but maybe if they communicated with more non members maybe that would encourage more people to join?

The club are doing themselves no favours at all if they’re taking a draconian approach to people standing up. Even more reason to sort loads more safe standing out and let people move there.

I’ve said it many times but NUFC sent an entire block at the front of the Gallowgate a “sit down or lose your ST” letter a couple of season ago.

Was my preferred spot and I’d be in there most games. It absolutely killed the atmosphere.

Has anyone else heard about (or seen or experienced) stewards checking tickets of people on the way to the corner during games?

One lad I spoke to said he went for a piss during the Man City FA Cup tie, got asked to show his ticket on the way back in, his phone had died so he got booted out. Bit of a schoolboy error not having enough battery like, and needing a piss during the game, but still.

People obviously shouldn't be going in the corner if their ticket isn't for there, but it appears the club knows about the desire for people to stand/that the standing section is the place to be, yet would rather play policeman than add more rail seats at the expense of upsetting a few people.

All feels a bit like doing quick fixes on your car and it keeps breaking down when you could take it to the garage and just get it fixed properly. Clunky analogy but you know what I mean.

Seen a lad (ex newcastle reserves player, quite well known within the fanbase) and his daughters getting chucked out the city game. Guessing he had his kid stood on his chair

What a crime that is

I read that they had stewards doing a check/count along rows at a recent game to make sure extra people weren’t squashing in.

There were loads on the stairs for the city game so that's what probably got their attention

Seen a couple chucked out for drinking this season as well so guess that area of the ground is monitored heavily on the cctv

Aye a far cry from the days when 1000s of us would stand in there shoulder to shoulder, surging forward when we had a dangerous attack or during the chorus of tbe Blaydon Races.

Now you get a ban for standing still.

Was happy to but you chose to respond again and I’m not rude so replied.

Not sure what more encouragement anyone needs to join when talking about £1 or whatever it is for 12 months   (I paid £10 for lifetime membership many moons ago).

Don’t know many organisations that you pay to be a member of and give same benefits to those not members. Would encourage less members IMO surely. Also a bit contradictory for you to have a beef about lack of communication then say Action Speaks Louder Than Words. I agree it does. Still get regular updates every week.

Happy to transfer you £1 if you DM your bank details so you can join and give your opinion if you got value for money regardless who’s s it is.

You totally miss the point again. I was a member and thought they were a waste of time so didn't renew my membership. Nothing I've seen or heard from them since would persuade me to rejoin so regardless of who's paying I still don't wish to rejoin them. Hope you can grasp that and we can leave it there.

If they were doing loads of good work they would be advised to share it with potential new members on social media. I assume that's one of the reasons they are on these platforms, and then people can make a more informed decision on whether or not they are worth signing up for.

No… I’ve never missed your point. Just been trying to educate it.

Let the onlookers have there say. I’ve no skin in the game…

No you miss the point. If they are doing so many good things behind the scenes then they should be blowing their own trumpets via their social media platforms.

That they don't speaks volumes, and ties in with what the everyday punter actually sees from them.

Palace home game I was sat in the Leazes. Two blokes either side of me were huge (I’m a big lad myself), to the point that it was not possible for me to sit there. Could feel my circulation slowing down.

Ended up moving over to the corner and standing on the stairs (something I used to do a lot), ticket got checked but I explained the situation and they told me I had to tell a steward in the Leazes. Moved back over to the Leazes and there were a few empties so I nabbed one of them.

Not their style. SM is a cesspit. Actions speak louder than words. They like any of the others will have limited effect… be it FAB or NUSC. NUFC rule the roost. So ultimately that is where ALL complaints should be aimed if people have them. Not well minded groups like FAB NUST and NUSC.

I think turning down free membership and review yourself their goings on over a 12 month period to judge yourself speaks louder TBH.

Let the masses decide. But I expect silence…

I'm not a sheep. I won't just jump on board for the sake of it. If they do something, literally anything that makes. me sit up and take notice and want to get on board then I would join up but as they havent, I won't, so will politely decline your offer to pay for me to sign up. Thanks all the same. I was a member and they lost me. That speaks louder than anything you can type up on here tbh.
