Quite unlikely. If someone triggered Bruno’s release clause there’s fuck all anyone could do about it

You can't both argue that we should have sold him while claiming it would happen via a release clause. It was either our responsibility or it wasn't.

Not saying you're saying that, but those were the two points made earlier by someone else.

Unless I got it wrong someone said they would sell him for £100m which was the release clause. Now if you are suggesting we sell Bruno cheap then yes that’s a different matter and would get an angry crowd at St James park

Yes, it was his release clause amount, which is what makes any 'would sell' argument that was being made moot. It's not our responsibility for other clubs to meet a release clause.

I think Arne Slot not going in for Minteh speaks volumes, He had an impresive season at Feyenoord under Slot,

But he cant rate him as a top prem player. Otherwise he would have gone in for him.

No doubt he is a very good player. but at top level, there must be doubts.

That's a hell of a stretch. A manager doesn't have to automatically buy good players he's formerly managed. Just Erik Ten Hag.

He is also unproven at PL level...

Given Liverpool will clearly need a Salah replacement in the next year or so, bringing in Minteh for a season deputising on the RW wouldn't have been that wild a concept tbf. A million reasons why they might not have gone for him though, not sure you can read that much into it (as much as I'd love the copium of it saying he's overrated).

this is just silly. Eddie spoke much more glowingly of minteh yesterday than he needed to, and more than he usually does regarding opposition. He said he'd be an integral piece for us were he still around, which pretty much throttled the theory of many on here that he wouldn't have even been featuring in matches for us.

Eddie also dispelled the myth that he was brought in to be sold. They clearly loved his talent and thought he could join the side, but alas, FFP exists.

Yeah but it doesn’t fit some people’s agenda to defend absolutely anything that happens   (In general terms)

Reminds me of some parents refusing to see or accept that their golden kid has done anything wrong ever.

There’s also a fair chance that Howe is using Mintehs name politically, don’t read into it to much either way.

Hes gone so let’s at least try and move on
