I don't agree. This is overstating one thing and understating another. Spurs have finished 17th two seasons in a row. There's a lot of work to do for them to get back into the top 5. I dont see him going to Spurs. If the fee is 85, Arsenal, both Manc clubs will be all over that. Remember Eze last summer?

Aye they do.. but making revenue and having funds to spend i.e cash flow are two different things.

 

That last part is kinda true, but the last four seasons prove it's not foolproof. I'm sure you know that.

I really like Tonali, he gets around the pitch but it’s been a while since I’ve see him really grab hold of a game from that centre mid position. We saw it from Bruno and even Joelinton at times despite him being up and down. 
 

Someone jokingly made this point last season but if he wants to be away and we can get the sort of fee reported I don’t think it’ll be too hard replace someone who made 0 goals and assists last year.

To an extent yes, but it seems as though spurs have pivoted since Levy was pinged. Imagine if Tonali was say a villa player right now, do you think we'd be in for him?

Villa's got Champions League, we don't. So if Tonali was on their team, no, we wouldn't be after him because he's playing in Europe. If we had Champions League next season, Spurs wouldn't even be in the conversation. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

100%.  Difference is they’ll pay him more money and he’ll get to live in London.  
 

He left his boyhood club - and the biggest club in Italy at that - to come here.  The idea he wouldn’t leave us for Spurs is laughable tbh.

This might be the last opportunity to make a significant profit (hate talking in those terms, but that's the reality). Turns 27 next May. Another mediocre season - not unlikely - and his name value drops alongside his current form.

Their revenue is much higher than Chelsea’s - not sure where our support’s view of Spurs’ financial muscle is coming from, but it blows ours out of the water.

Let's hope we learn from the Isak saga tactically as well. We need to change up our system if we letting Sandro go, he covers a lot of ground and makes up for Bruno's athletic shortcomings.

Probably saw the price tag and balked at it.  I wouldn’t be paying owt like what is being quoted.  Tonali isn’t close to being an £85m midfielder.

He is if Anderson is 130m tbh. This is just the market now for players rated highly domestically, inflated by PSR and the cartel.  

 

I think he's an absolute game changer in a system set up correctly, something we haven't seen for sometime tbh.

I like Tonali, I’d happily see him stay here for years to come if he shut up and got on with it, but in a world where we need to trade well £85m is daft money for him. His agents noise (which by default is his noise) is boring and will continue, he isn’t worth that hassle, so get him away is my take.

I don’t think he’s a particularly gifted technician, he’s an engine - I suspect we’ve seen what’s he’s capable of.  He’s at his peak right now in terms of age - I thought he was thoroughly mediocre last season, including on the big stages and in the big games.  It’s not even like playing for the Azzuri means much these days either.  I’m seriously tiring of his agent - and therefore him - whoring himself to any club that might offer a glance.  The club needs to just get rid for me - if he doesn’t want to be here (and I never got the impression he ever particularly did) then get a good price and get him replaced. 
 

Anderson isn’t worth owt like that sort of money either tbf
