I mean in the correct set up I think he is yes. Either as a 6 who sits and I mean only sits and covers space (his pace and stamina are perfect for this imo) or as part of a double pivot. 

 

Our slow defence compared with a lack of athleticism surrounding him in midfield was definitely an issue for us and him imo.

He left his boyhood club - and the biggest club in Italy at that - to come here.  The idea he wouldn’t leave us for Spurs is laughable tbh. 

He came here because we had Champions League football. Without that, we wouldn't have signed him that year. I get that they can pay more, but I still don't think he'd end up there, especially if Arsenal and Man Utd are options.

It's June, so there's still time, which is why I think he might wait to consider his options. I don't think he'll join Spurs, he will wait.

The lack of actual detail in that Romano tweet (no talks, no player opinion, no amounts, no approach) makes me feel like it’s the sort of thing you put out to try and smoke out potential suitors. 
 

Think we want any big sales if they have to happen to be done early so we can react appropriately.

Players come and go, with the  PSR/SCR  bollocks we best get used to signing players, them becoming class and us shifting them for a big profit and repeating that process. It will happen for a good few years until we can somehow bridge the revenue gap between us and the Top 6.

At the end of the day, we’re going to sell to whoever pays our extremely high price. If that’s Spurs, then so be it. As others have said, we live in a world of PSR/SCR where the only way we progress now is selling good players for high prices.

I love Sandro to bits - great character, great story, part of the cup winning team and generally just immense across 24/25. Unfortunately average-to-poor last season though, and I could live with a sale providing the fee was right and the transfer wasn't accompanied by a painful interminable saga. Anything but an Isak carry-on and he'd go with my best wishes.

 

The ideal scenario for me is that he stays and recaptures his form but if this is the end, so be it. Spurs is a bit of a depressing destination but I could probably stomach it more than going to one of the red clubs. New project under an Italian manager... I think you can probably see the appeal from his point of view.

I saw the video, he said yes to Man U and Arsenal too before. This ties in with the he will wait and assess. As Romano said in the video... let's wait and see.

Tonali is one of my favorite players, and even if he didn't perform well last season, his skills are undeniable, and so is his attitude to the game. He doesn't play often, but he does a lot of work in matches, both in defense and in playmaking. Maybe Szoboszlai is similar, he works almost everywhere on the pitch. Tonali would be difficult to replace.

90m +10m in addons and I’d be willing to sell. Use the 100m and get Camara and Maza. Or if a RW then Akliouche. A RW no matter what is a must!

Someone jokingly made this point last season but if he wants to be away and we can get the sort of fee reported I don’t think it’ll be too hard replace someone who made 0 goals and assists last year. 

Honestly hadn’t realised he didn’t score in the league last year or get an assist? Christ that’s bad. 
 

Loved him when he first came back but as others have said, very up and down last year, never really kicked on. Suspect we’ve already got his replacement lined up as he seems destined to go at this point.
