AJ9 Posted 6 hours ago Share Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Think it would be madness to ship Barnes like, but I can see a logic - keep Gordon, Joelinton and maybe Ramsey, ship Barnes and Willock and thus brings in a solution to RW. Lowers the age, provides more flexibility. Barnes, for all that he brought to us last year, is beyond peak value, in a position we may have cover in and only plays one position. That's in the ballpark of some of our other targets eg Diomande. I was keen on him before his injuries but he came back and aggravated the injury again and also had a bit of a drop in form too. Selling Barnes would bring almost no transfer benefit from a PSR perspective other than freeing up his wages - we’re unlikely to sell him for an actual profit.
