NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Think it would be madness to ship Barnes like, but I can see a logic - keep Gordon, Joelinton and maybe Ramsey, ship Barnes and Willock and thus brings in a solution to RW. Lowers the age, provides more flexibility. Barnes, for all that he brought to us last year, is beyond peak value, in a position we may have cover in and only plays one position.

Wasn't he absolutely rat-arsed when he agreed to go?

Not that Im aware of and deals like that aren't done in 5mins so I dont think his being rat arsed .is anything more than an excuse unless it was a Gazza style bender.

I don’t know either way buts it’s not totally implausible no he was wasted and agreed to it and wanted to keep his word

Few of the NUFC news aggregators stating that Matteo Moretto has suggested we’re looking at Giorgio Scalvini.

Now I normally wouldn’t mention this without checking out the real source but I’m already sold on it. Bring him to me, Andy.

The Sun were saying Man Utd were after him but Atalanta have a price tag of £51m.

That's in the ballpark of some of our other targets eg Diomande.

I was keen on him before his injuries but he came back and aggravated the injury again and also had a bit of a drop in form too.

Selling Barnes would bring almost no transfer benefit from a PSR perspective other than freeing up his wages - we’re unlikely to sell him for an actual profit.

Knowing from the horses mouth how much Harvey Barnes, die hard Leicester fan, dislikes Forest, I find that one really hard to believe.

While I don’t think it happens for money reasons, the idea that a player doesn’t sign because of club rivalry isn’t living in the real world.

Unless of course Lee Clark really did secretly love sunderland, or Steve Howey’s entire family were just pretending to be mackems

100%. Would be absolutely perfect.

Him and Botman at the back? What dreams are made of.

He can play all 4 positions at the back and also as a DM - he’s an immense talent
