NUFC Transfer Rumours

Targett’s a likeable lad but through injuries and competition for his place he’s in a position where he’ll likely only be a sub longer term. He clearly could play for a bottom 10 PL club at LB week in week out once his fitness returns so hopefully he can get the move

They either have been told summer is gonna be a big rebuild and are looking after themselves at first opportunity or we got some unhappy players.

That or media bullshit

Hes a better player than the one cuurently playing left back assuming he gets fit soon. As hes been pictured doing gym work you expect that isnt far off

When he got injured he was set to play in midfield, which Howe said they had looked at/worked on during training and he looked decent there so maybe a midfield option until the end of the season given our current problems there.

He started in CM away to Man Utd in the Carabao, obviously only lasted a few minutes like .

Sure? I was convinced Hall was in midfield mind, sure his injury came as he went forward from LB to challenge

Nah he definitely started in midfield, as Howe said it in his interview after the game that they were 'trying it out'. It was particularly weird considering we had Hall playing too but it was what happened.

tell you what happening, Ashworth sabotage he will sell off 3-4 starters, bring no one, jumps ship to Man Yoo in 3 weeks and gets praised by his new bosses to weaken us in his last 2 weeks

Howe said after the game they had looked at Targett in midfield and liked what they had seen in training.

I'm personally pretty excited if we're looking to have a massive rebuild in the summer like. Love this team and what they've done but the idea of reloading and going again with the operation we've got now is exciting.

Fair enough, im not sure a game we made 8 changes is a fair representation of where Howe is looking at playing him long term though. Especially if Burn continues to guide wingers into our box every attack
