NUFC Transfer Rumours

“What we can’t do as a football club is tear ourselves apart, we have to be united now more than ever.”

So fans and journalists pile on at the first sign of not getting our own way.

it’s certainly stronger than 5 years ago. Not certain it’s stronger than last season other than a player we already owned coming back. No Botman for ages, Wilson crumbling, Willock made of glass, not even an Anderson or Miley to bring in.

There's probably four players we can discount from being much use this season - Botman, Lascelles, Wilson and Willock. If we lose Isak, Schar, Gordon or Pope for any sustained period, we're deeply in the shit.

Canny article from Puke to be fair to him.

Only thing I'll say now is leys forget this transfer window, concentrate on the season, learn from these mistakes and hopefully see some incomings in January.

Smash Spurs on Sunday with a Tonali goal,  it'll all be history.

A new backup to Wilson, Tonali available, Willock injury not serious.

Watching Wearside Jack ply his trade for QPR away at Luton atm.

Quite the reality check

Wilson was crumbling last season, Isak was out for most of the top 4 season.  We didn't have Miley or Anderson top 4 season and Miley isn't going to be out all season but we do have Tonali.  Top 4 season Gordon was getting up to speed and we have Barnes now as well

Osula too! Looking forward to him being given a chance to shine.

It was abundantly clear Parish was mugging us off very early on and I can’t believe we genuinely fell for it.

He was one of the loudest voices against our takeover. I bet he couldn’t believe his luck when he saw an opportunity to have our pants down.
The club need to learn from this and get street wise sharpish.

I'll be glad to just be able to focus on the football again tbh. We've still got some excellent players, we've had a decent start points-wise and we're barely out of second gear.

I'm going to try and enjoy watching this group. It feels to me that the most likely outcome is that we miss out on CL qualification again, two of the "big three" move on for substantial fees and we start building post-takeover NUFC V2.0 which could be an incredibly exciting time.

Realistically we need a substantial number of first-team players in the near future to replace those either the wrong side of 30 (Trips, Schar, Burn, Wilson) and those not good enough (Miggy, Lascelles, Murphy, Longstaff). To do that we can only spend what we bring in - with no sign of the associated party rules being thrown out and any movement on a new/renovated stadium still years away there is only one way to increase turnover by a nine figure sum and that's selling one or more quality players. So we'll do that, hit the reset button and go again.

But why aren’t you comparing to last season?

are you saying we’ll get 3rd now, ignoring the fact that the majority of the teams in the league are also better than the top 4 season?

That he quite clearly rubbished everything that Hope was trying to claim.

Hope is a known bullshit / clickbait / agenda driving tosspot, the worst of the worst.

Is this about him only wanting Guehi and no one else??

Can certainly understand people being pissed of now. We were given the impression that we were going to compete with the best and that they had a plan to make it happen. Not a single first team signing in 2 transfer windows signals anything but. Especially when it comes in combination with us selling away our young talents.

FFP is nothing new, so cant really use that as an excuse either.

Guess we just have to adjust to the new reality, lower expetations and enjoy what we got.

It dawned on me during the presser that Howe is a liar as well mind. Sometimes it's obvious and it's good, this time it wasn't obvious but I definitely reminded myself
