NUFC Transfer Rumours

I know fans should be allowed to fantasize, but where exactly are we pulling £100m from to spend on two RWs when we apparently need to sell to buy in first place, not to mention the need to strengthen other areas also.

RW is the only position we could do that for tbf. We'll need to sell to spend 100mil, but I'm sure by the time we need to we'll Almiron, Longstaff, Targets and maybe Trippier all gone for some kind of fee.

Southampton are gone would imagine our best chance of getting Dibling is to strike this month. Come the summer think competition will be much tougher, might be one they try to structure a deal where we pay after the PSR deadline.

Would be doing the same thing. Even agree to loan them some prospects / players for their Championship stint to help keep their costs down when their inevitable fire sale kicks off.

Hope alluded to us trying for him this month.

I dont think its fair to compare Murphy to Almiron and think its just him having a purple patch. I think he is much more reliable and steadily improving.

Just look at the stats of goals+assists.

Murphy:

22/23 1 pr every 200mins

23/24 1 pr every 120mins

24/25 1 pr every 110mins

Almiron:

21/22 1 pr every 1700mins

22/23 1 pr every 200mins

23/24 1 pr every 500mins

Sure alot of Murphys goal points have come in patches, but thats true for most players.

Yeah maybe he lacks abilities in the build up play, but its not like he is a luxury player who doesnt put in the work either.

If we can bring in Mbeumo for a fair price then go ahead, but I really doubt that we can achieve that.

Dibling does feel like there’s something in it as with Trafford

More our profile i feel. So is the Bournemouth lad but i think Liverpool will go for him in the summer if Salah leaves.

Dibling loan to buy in the summer with muggy going on loan the other way would suit both parties. Need some creative moves. Do the same with Trafford and the Greek.

Not sure what Southampton get out of that in their situation other than a past it Miggy

They’re rubbish, he’d easily be one of their best players, and a lot of money for an academy product who probably doesn’t see staying there as tenable in the long-term. I don’t think miggy would agree tbh.

Don't think he's past it at all. He's just one dimensional, and always has been. A good run of games and he's easily a lower end PL player. If anything, he's too good for a relegation battle.

Very much doubt it suits Miggy like.

He's not getting games, rejected moves away. A loan puts him in the shop window whilst retaining his full pay. Unless he's happy not playing.

Sign Dibling this month and loan him back for the rest of this season. we’ll be fine with Murphy and Barnes until the summer.

Can’t see Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City or spurs going for him.

That only leaves Liverpool , Man Utd and villa plus ourselves. Given we need someone in that role and how well Eddie develops players, that should give us the jump on Man Utd and villa, it’s only Liverpool which could be the major problem.

The only caveat from Hope is that if Liverpool show interest he’ll go to them. They’d have to sell Doak to do it which seems a bit robbing Peter to pay Paul.

He doesn’t need to be in the ‘shop window’, especially not in a team getting howked every week.

Any MLS or South American teams know who he is already.

Did you watch Dibling in the Brentford game? He strolled around with his socks down by his ankles, looked totally disinterested, barely ran anywhere. I know Southampton are bad, but he seriously didn't impress me at all. I guess there's something in him that Eddie and Co. can see.

He also wears his socks down when playing well tbh

If a young prospect in a struggling team or a young prospect not getting games in a huge squad looks at how we’ve developed Tino, Hall, Gordon etc and doesn’t get a stiffy about joining NUFC, then I wouldn’t want them here

100%. And the fact that our lads are getting England recognition too, plus the football we've been playing, plus the decent chance of playing in Europe, good runs in cups etc...What's not to like?
