Ikon
Whatever and whenever we sign a new player I want it to be composed and technical players that improve us in general play and possession. Would also like to see Howe come up with something that improves our control regarding this. I still think we should do better with what we have to be honest. And no, I don’t want us to be like endless tiki taka, it’s not about that. If you think we shouldn’t be and do better in this area then I don’t know what to say. As much as I like them we need to replace the likes of Burn and Joelinton to name two, no matter how well they’ve done at times. To evolve we need to get better in this area, I said it before last season and it’s one of the reasons I was against us signing Barnes. And Eales last January. Any time they come out with something that isn’t good news, the reaction is over the top negative.
The Prophet
Personally think Eales is a decent communicator. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Brad Miller has done some on the record stuff. Silverstone gives quotes every so often. Are people expecting weekly updates? Weekly, no. Daily, yes. Alberto2005
Can we add a poll to see who thinks we'll make any kind of signing before the deadline.

WilliamPS
On the sales they all look fine in isolation, but the squad is really thin. I didn’t go into January thinking this is a squad that can lose 3 players without impact - it’s not like Chelsea where they have 6 teams worth. Theres barely any cover and absolutely no scope for rotation. It impacts on the pitch.

kingxlnc
But it’s bordering on negligence how paper thin the squad is. injury to Isak, Osula starts injury to Tonali, Longstaff starts injury to Murphy, Willock starts out of position the drop off is huge and dangerous for our goals

The only one I can think of is to do like Fulham and Palace (et al) do and have two average strikers instead of one good one. But I wouldn't swap Osula and Isak for Jimenez and Munoz in a million years. The drop off is smaller but the ceiling is much lower. I know what you're saying but by then we could have a Cup final win and be in the Champions league. It'd be worth it don't you think? Next season we're starting all over again. City stronger, possibly Spurs. Man Utd too.

Honestly, we need to sign up a few free transfers to pad out the squad, David for example would be a great Wilson replacement and even to play alongside Isak. If we need to get rid of a 40-50m player I’d be willing to let Joelinton go and even Botman at a push. If we got a 90m plus offer for Gordon or Bruno potentially would let go but would rather not. I wouldn’t even mind a Barcelona/Bayern type of move for a purple (not Isak or Tonali) if it means we get 3-4 players in exchange, eg Christiansen, Raphina, Tel etc There are decent players going for 25m fees, Tomori, Danso for example. Even Khusanov would have been around the same. We definitley need to use more loans - especially in an attacking sense as the talent of game changers is low on the bench. Look to Saudi or the bigger clubs. Tel on loan would be good. Look to the French league it’s worked for us in the past

Those players, Isak, Bruno, Tonali, are going to go eventually don't you think? If we can win a trophy, any trophy, before they go then that's the whole point surely. Let's tread water and keep within PSR while other clubs progress and win things. It's fkn nonsense.
