NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

I don’t think he’s a bad player. Far from it. Also, I know it’s only one game. But based on tonight. I wouldn’t go near Mbuemo for what he will cost.

His passing and movement are good and we know he’s a quality finisher. But seemed like Tino got the better of him 9/10 times. Which isn’t a huge surprise. As we know how good Tino is 1v1. But he seemed to just give up on it most the while. Nothing really massively stands out in his game a lot of the time. At least it didn’t tonight.

I don’t think he’s what we need especially at the money being quoted, good player undoubtedly but definitely suited to a team who plays on the break.

You could say that about Salah 2 weeks ago tbf.

Salah doing naff all for a lot of the game is nothing new. He’s like it a lot of weeks. Then pops up with a goal and an assist and gets MOTM

You could say it about any player based on one game, of course. Which is why I mentioned it.

Also. My opinion on him isn’t entirely based on tonight. I have seen him play before. I also agree with Whitley Mag.

But considering we keep getting linked with him and Brentford aren’t on the box much. I paid more attention to him tonight.

Anyone else been seeing these Harvey Elliott rumours?

They're saying Liverpool are willing to let him leave and we're interested.

Thoughts?

I really like him, would suit our model perfectly.

Good player, not sure he fits in our system though, he’s best more centrally.

Ivan Toney went for £38m you’d think Mbuemo would be around £45m

Toney went for that fee because no top clubs came in for him. Mainly because he's a prick.

Mbuemo will go for a higher fee. More clubs are interested in signing him and he isn't renowned as a dickhead.

Superb player and someone will get a gem. The pass he played from deep for Chiesa in final is the level of ability he has.

We’ve seen some evolution this season of almost being a 4-4-2, so a 2nd striker or someone that’s clearly more suited through the middle would get loads of minutes and be as valuable as other outfield positions.

Like Man Utd have Zirkzee to go up top, Villa have two in Rashford replacing Duran, Chelsea have two in Nkunku/Jackson, Liverpool as mentioned, Spurs have two in Solanke/ Richarlison, Man City signed Marmoush as they only had Haaland. Arsenal weirdly have Jesus/Havertz.

Big sides have two IMO, Gordon as that 2nd for us is never it. We all say it when he plays up top, and I’m sure it’s a viewpoint expressed by Howe too behind closed doors, and for one reason or another, Osula hasn’t been that this season for us.

All of the second strikers you have mentioned can also play on the wings though, in fact most of them play the majority of their games there.  Buying someone like Mbuemo would make much more sense than buying an out and out number 9.  Isak, Osula, Gordon and Mbuemo as options for the central striker role would be more than enough IMO

Elliot is great player imo. Liverpool fans I know reckon he isn’t in favour under Slot because he doesn’t move around the pitch well enough. Great on the ball tho and offers the creativity we sometimes lack when teams sit in

Whilst Tino largely kept him quiet I thought he looked pretty dangerous throughout.

Some lovely first time layoffs, a couple of great balls in including for the pen and  uses his slightly unusual body shape really well.

Also seems highly intelligent in his runs and timing of pass. I think he’s be an excellent signing and offer us a different dimension.

Think he’s probably my preferred in that position from those linked.

That’s probably valid, but our side needs some variety.

Probably does but Finesse with pace does exist. Plus I'm not overly keen on finding Liverpool's rebuild.

Is Elliot not a scumbag? Am I misremembering him being involved in something off the pitch?

A friend of a friend of a friend, spent some time around the Liverpool squad (can’t remember what for now).

He apparently said they were all sound, apart from Elliot who was a massive dickhead.

*I have no way of verifying this

I mean, Harvey Elliot is very talented. He’s output at 17 in championship was something and if Liverpool are thinking short term because he’s pathway has been blocked then someone will get a player. Be more Liverpool loss, like Man City with their youngsters over past few seasons.

You're thinking of the video that came out of him taking the piss out of Harry Kane.  Doing impressions of him and calling him a mong

C o m p o s u r e ! !

That and technical ability is what we need more of. Improve ourselves in possession overall too. We need more variety, not just intensity. I’m sure it will come.

Don’t want any Liverpool players!

Think I remember some stuff about him or his family selling shirts for "charity" but pocketing the cash

How much do we reckon West Ham would demand for Kudus?

Would be great for the right wing/striker role. Can't see West Ham letting him go cheaply andd imagine he'd go for more than the rumoured £50mil for Mbeumo
