Elanga didn’t always start for Forrest and thrives on the transition, Semenyo seemed to tail off as the season closed and had some very poor showings down the stretch. Think Delap offers value for money at 30 million but really hope where not going to have our eye balls taken out just to get PL established players with a limited ceiling. By all accounts Delap is looking mainly at the ££££
aussiemag Posted Monday at 21:32 Share Posted Monday at 21:32 I can’t see Forest selling Elanga anyway. If MGW goes to city that will be it for them.

alexf Posted Monday at 22:07 Share Posted Monday at 22:07 (edited) I do find some of the stuff he talks about in interviews sounds good but the reality doesn't quite match up. Like his whole penalties thing. He talked a good game and scored a couple but then he took that one at Everton and it revealed his whole system was flawed and it was just complete chance if he scores as he doesn't even look at the keeper. southernmag Posted Tuesday at 00:35 Share Posted Tuesday at 00:35 Tbh I wouldn't blame Guehi for running his contract down. Gets a season with Palace in the Europa which should be fun, then a big new contract at his next club. Hopefully if we go for him this summer though it's for something under 40 odd million. southernmag Posted Tuesday at 00:38 Share Posted Tuesday at 00:38 Also Garcia sounds exactly like the kind of signing we should be making. Slightly under the radar, very good value (seemingly), right age, high ceiling etc. Trafford would be good but this guy is my preference. Wonder how Pope would take being no. 2? I guess with all our games next season our back ups will get plenty of minutes.

He’s also been figured out to an extent. Back off and show him the line and he’s not likely to hurt you. Goes for all 3 of our wingers in truth. Depends who else Palace sell and who they sign. Eze is wanted by a few clubs as is Wharton, if they keep both of them and add a couple they'll have a good season, but losing either, especially Eze will be a massive loss. ExiledGeordie Posted Tuesday at 05:09 Share Posted Tuesday at 05:09 (edited) I went to The true faith thing last night, on transfers the consensus from the journos was: we are the perfect footballing choice for Delap but he’ll probably choose a fatter contract cash wise elsewhere (all 3 journos), Gordon the most likely to go of the big names, has pretty much checked out last summer and thought on the way to Liverpool plus pivotal season coming up (Edwards), Isak unlikely to sign a new contract unless it has a release clause - more likely to be sold to the continent when he does go (Bayern, PSG, Barca, Real etc) all journos. Will go big on two players and then see what they can do from there and trying to get someone in in first window early June where it’s meant to be very very busy for everyone (Douglas). Willock, Longstaff, Wilson all obviously likely to go. Pressure on Mitchel (all journos). Nothing groundbreaking but it was a good listen. Yeah I think the consensus was they’d probably sell on balance if they get the right price. Bit of discussion about how he’s had one good season and it’s been with us and he needs to be reminded of that. already forced his way out of one club, needs to avoid pissing another group of fans off etc, not a young man anymore and approaching crucial point of his career. All makes sense, and in line with what would be expected. Can't see Isak not going eventually - but another season or so would be nice; but if one of the giants come knocking with the right sized cheque he's gone, and it would give a shitload of recyclable funding. I would think that Gordon would be the 'purple' most would be least concerned with selling - I think his attitude has been borderline unprofessional at various times this season (for all the 'he talks well in interviews' patter, he doesn't follow it up with it on the pitch as regularly as he should). He admitted as much himself in fairness to him. The transfer funding won't be what the more excitable expect (once again)

They are happy to tell a select few that Delap won’t come, but will have us on all summer saying theirs a chance. They’ll very gladly tell you about Isak’s contract clause though, because that creates uncertainty that they can forever gain clicks on.
Whitley mag Posted Tuesday at 05:42 Share Posted Tuesday at 05:42 (edited) Willock and Longstaff going should free up some decent funds for a midfield upgrade hopefully. Feel like it’ll be Jacob Ramsey who hopefully has a higher ceiling and fits the mould. Edited Tuesday at 05:45 by Whitley mag

I think he’s here likely one more season or two absolute max but that’s just my opinion.

I’m sure if it was just down to money PIF could guarantee him a lucrative move later in his career, I’d only be concerned if Barca, or Madrid come knocking.
