NUFC Transfer Rumours

We've needed a right winger for at least five years, it's a top priority. Murphy probably won't repeat his performance this year, so we need a top-class right winger.

A top center back is also a priority.

The other positions you mentioned are only possible if we sell a player first. We're stacked at goalkeeper and central midfield.

Arsenal scored 88 and 91 goals the last two seasons, so they didn't bother buying a striker. What happened this year? Man City scored tons of goals, but still got Haaland.

Let's be like Man City, not Arsenal.

We absolutely need a right winger. And remember, we struggled to score and win without Isak this season.

RW is still a key position, but it’s not one we need to spend £60m on and make our highest earner, which Mbeumo would be.

Man City signed Haaland, neglected their defence and look what happened?

We don’t have to plunge a huge amount into a ‘proven’ RW that has goals. We’ve got goals around our team, and I’m confident if we got a decent CM, more goals would come from there. Like the amount of times Joelinton gets into the box, he should be scoring more. Tonali I would be expecting to double his tally next season. A good back up striker chips in with some goals too.

CB / GK / CM the funds spent well.

RW / ST the funds on low buys / potential

That’s how I want to see things giving how we play and our limitations have been shown over past 12 months.

Class player, be perfect for us.

Just the expense on a 28 year old i can't see the club doing it.

Yeh not gonna happen. Also seems to love West Ham and living in the area he’s at.

Think he signed a 6 year deal at 26 with West Ham.  Why would you do that? A free agent 29/30 yo Bowen could play for any number of top clubs.

Odd take on Man City here like, just ignore what they achieved in the two seasons following Haaland’s arrival and claim it is their defence that was neglected, rather than their midfield.

wouldn’t quit the day job for a career in punditry fella

They won the treble mate, that was my point.

It’s literally like saying SAF signing RVP won them the title in 2013. It didn’t.

Haaland had a big output, but Man City were scoring goals loads before him, it just then shifted more through him which has hurt them long term, all whilst the defence has fell of a cliff edge (and midfield too as they’ve needed to cover Haaland press more).

Man u lost the title in 2012 on goal difference, SAF went and got the leagues top goal scorer and won the league at a Canter in 2013. Some solutions are simple.

We struggle to win or score without Isak. We go buy a rw (a position we currently need) who has just scored 20 Premier league goals. Simple solution.

Again. We struggle to win or score without Isak.

Sir Alex Ferguson says Robin van Persie has had "as big an impact as anyone" he can remember at Manchester United after helping them win the Premier League.

The Dutchman, 29, scored a hat-trick in Monday's 3-0 win over Aston Villa that secured United's 20th league title.

He has hit 24 league goals since moving from Arsenal for £24m last summer.

United boss Ferguson said: "I remember Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger saying to me 'he's better than you think' when we concluded the deal. He was right."

Earlier this season, Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini said his failure to buy Van Persie was the difference between the two teams in the title race.

Some solutions are simple. Same as City buying Haaland.

Is this gunna be the 25/26 season version of "we can't win without Bruno"?

I’m just going to have to agree to disagree on that logic.

Man City 21-22 99 goals / 22-23 94 goals

Man Utd 11-12 89 goals (+56GD) / 12-13 86 goals (43GD)

Fair play. It was SAF logic when buying RVP though.

we totally failed to win this past season without Isak, couldn't score for sh** Almost every game he was off his game, and we lost. Big problem.
