Will Osula

There's more to it than that though.

Look at Osula v Brentford. Comes on, plays a daft pass, the daft pass directly leads to a goal.

Wilson come on against Forest, two counters, fucked both one of which led to a counter we just managed to survive.

I was just giving an example as to why there's more to it than pace and strength.

Really think he should be given a run out, wilson just seems to amble when pressing whilst osula goes all out!

Plus we should be blooding him when in front as he is going to be our main back up soon...

Look how he celebrated the cup win and continued that on celebration day.

Clearly isn't happy here and hates Howe.

You can prove anything with facts.

Everyone was off it yesterday, but this guy does need to chill a bit doesn’t he? :D Came on seemingly wanting to play at a pace that was beyond the coordination from head to his feet :D

Not sure about LW, would rather have him stretching defences as the striker off bench.

Do you blame him?

He's not had 20 mins in a game to prove himself for months and he has to watch Callum's farewell tour from the bench every week

Looked a little rushed and clumsy last night but like others say, never really gets quality time on the pitch to relax and just play.

Still feels like the oddest signing we’ve made under Howe (we know that the Greek bloke was a bit of PSR chicanery).  Hope the lad kicks on, but he just looks miles away to me.   His stats look worse than they are due to the limited mins (31 PL appearances, 0 goals - but he’s only played the equivalent of ten games).

But if anyone can turn a big, strong centre forward who doesn’t look likely to find the net into a much better player in another role, it’s Howe.  Ask Joelinton.

I could be wrong but it felt like more of a Mitchell signing than a Howe one.

He was a Howe/Tindall pick, they had been following him for some time. £10 mill, plus up to £5 mill in addons!!

Eddie Howe, Newcastle United's manager, mentioned that he and Jason Tindall (a member of the coaching staff) have known William Osula since Tindall's time at Sheffield United, and that Osula has the "raw ingredients to become a great center-forward".

Good to hear tbh. It means Howe will be a lot more patient with him and is happy to keep working on polishing his game.

I hope he can be polished, would love to see him come good. If anyone can it’s Eddie.

He's a real handful that's for sure. Just needs to add some finesse and clinical edge and you have a real player on your hands.

Just looks full of nervous energy when he comes on. Tries to do things at a hundred miles an hour.

I think if he'd getting more minutes this year off the bench he'd probably of calmed down by now.

Definitely. When you are only getting injury time then you feel like you have to prove everything in 5 mins. Once he starts getting longer spells as sub I think he'll be a bit more measured.

He’s busting a gut to impress, if he could slow it down and coordinate between brain and feet, he has power, speed and skill. Just a bit headless chicken at times. As Eddie and Tindall chose him they may have more patience with him too.

That's a good assessment by Eddie, sums it up really and that's still where we are except I'd downgrade 'great' at this point.
