Pilko Posted Saturday at 20:55 Share Posted Saturday at 20:55 Eddie post-match: There was nothing in the final third, but lots of set-play opportunities and we were without a recognised striker. It is something we are aware of and we will aim to improve on. "I know we have players who can score and create and I have no issues with the players we have. Fully fit Premier League strikers will cost us an extortionate amount of money we don't have. We have to back the players we have. "I have to be careful not to push Callum Willson too hard with minimal training behind him....I didn't feel bringing him on at that stage (22 minutes) was something I could do, so I had to play Anthony (Gordon) up there as I had no natural strikers." The bit in italics is saying "Osula isn't Premier League standard (yet)" and the two bits in bold contradict each other and can't do a lot for his confidence. timeEd32 Posted Saturday at 21:01 Share Posted Saturday at 21:01 Are we really doing this again? If there’s a part of Eddie’s tenure that’s beyond reproach it’s player development. He clearly doesn’t think he’s ready.

Forgive me for being a bit of a maverick in preferring a round peg in a round hole, rather than a lad who's horribly out of form in his favoured position shoehorned into a striking role. Yeah if Eddie needed advice from you mate it would be about mortgages.

If he was a known quantity I'd agree with you. This is just a case of people preferring the mystery box.
Sempiternal Posted Saturday at 21:58 Share Posted Saturday at 21:58 Send the lad on loan if you don’t fancy him. This is doing him no good whatsoever

Yeah I get you, it’s just he clearly does not want to give him meaningful minutes and his development will stall imo if he’s not getting a chunk of playing time

Sibierski Posted Sunday at 08:20 Share Posted Sunday at 08:20 Sad it last season with Hall, but I turned out to be wrong so may be again. But if he’s not getting minutes, he needs to either be featuring for u23s or go out on loan in January (that wasn’t an option for Hall). Probably different to Hall as he’s older, at 21 he should be playing a lot more football than he is currently otherwise he’s being stunted. 18 slightly different, can argue training with first team is more beneficial if you’ve got the talent which turned out to the case with Hall. AyeDubbleYoo Posted Sunday at 09:59 Share Posted Sunday at 09:59 There’s no way he’s going out on loan this season.
mosstef Posted Sunday at 10:04 Share Posted Sunday at 10:04 He's lost his place in the Danish U21 squad due to lack of playing time. Think it's been a bad move for him so far. At 20 years old you should be more involved than he have.
TRon Posted Sunday at 11:22 Share Posted Sunday at 11:22 I wonder if he's a really shit finisher in training? He didn't have a great scoring record at his previous club. Maybe we've just bought a player who's not suited for this level?

andycap Posted Sunday at 13:17 Share Posted Sunday at 13:17 I'd rather play a raw young striker up top than a winger who's quick but isn't giving you the presence you need when your struggling to create chances. Also he's badly out of form. Is osula only on the bench incase isak Wilson and gordon get injured? 😂 Might aswell use miley instead and let the big lad get reserve games.
