It’s not that far of a walk from Haymarket. Go up across the University Bridge, and it brings you out at the Town Moor.

How the fuck he doesn’t know is beyond me like. Even if he does know, saying/implying he doesn’t, will do no favours for him when he keeps claiming to be ITK.

Feel it passes some decent boozers and a controllable/central area tbf.  Not a massive route but doable all the same.  I'll probably just venture up for the parade and pie off the town moor bit, or go for a little bit.  See what the general consensus is.

Reckon be able to do the bus route first then head up to the moor for just before 6 to catch the players there and ending of that? Just thinking might be a faff doing both as town be heaving even tho just a short walk up to the moor.

For sure will be able to do both if you wish

You'd have to start off at SJP for the Parade and then walk along past the RVI I reckon.  Its a good 35 minute walk to Wylam Brewery from SJP iirc

Think you should be able to comfortably do any of the first half of the parade and get up to the Town Moor in time even though it'll obviously be heaving.

It'll be the queues/inevitable shambles at the town moor I'm factoring in.  Plus a lot of others doing the same thing too.

Leaning towards just the cup route bit and then a couple beers in town. Only part I'm interested in at the moor is seeing the players on stage and the light show but players probably be on stage less than half an hour I reckon, not fussed in slightest about a DJ or rewatch of the match.

Fair, I'm the type of person to arrive at the airport less than an hour before a flight so I maybe not the best person to listen to :)

Interesting to see how many people actually go to the Town Moor, nobody I know is going, no drinking will put a huge amount of people off, whereas I'm expecting Town to be mental.

I people watch on the way back home

Everybody on the town moor sober

Standing in cow pats out of the heat

Somebody's darlings got shitty feet tonight

Oh I can't stop running

I see the open top bus

I people watch on the way back home

I people watch on the way back home

Ooh
Ooh, ooh

I'm heading in for the bus parade. Was thinking of hitting some bars along percy street (percy arms etc) whilst waiting for the parade but reckon the bars will be chocka so going to take some bottles/cans just in case.

Few of us were thinking same but probably have to be there sharpish to get in pub. We are thinking just cans outside SJP, get down ground about 3.

I'm the type to arrive 4 hours in advance just to make sure I'm there :D

Interested to see what this is like, obviously completely new to me considering I’d have been very young last time we had a parade.

Going to do the parade and maybe have a gander up the town moor unless it’s pissing down.

Coming up Friday night with my youngest who I'm trying to carry on the tradition and make sure he's black and white. Had a stadium tour booked early Saturday (I booked it after the town moor thing was announced) but box office have just phoned and said it's cancelled...gutted. That being said I'm sure it's going to be an enjoyable day.
