Even that should depend on Liverpool paying a premium for Isak otherwise we shouldn't be selling him either. He's one of the world's elite strikers and there's barely a handful. Agree with this. You don't sell your prize asset for under value in these circumstances. Either Liverpool cough up or he stays
BennyBlanco
If he’s got written proof they’ve said he can leave it’s a bit different to the situation with us and the rat.

Mole
I will never understand people who act like they're the same situations at all. He took some of the same actions, but I think it's very clear the circumstances are vastly different. Ignoring the circumstances that led to his actions makes no sense to me. Tiotes Witch Doctor
Is he even refusing to play? In Andrews pressers it's sounded more like he's chosen not to include him, he's been training and claims he has written assurances, I certainly don't agree with the instagram deletion and what not, and it's not great behaviour, but it's nowhere near as bad as Isak. relámpago blanco
I can't see us signing anyone tbh. Even if we agreed a fee today and medical today the videos take several days.

I know Isak claimed similar. But the fact he came out and made his claims MONTHS after when it was supposed to happen tells me he's lying where I don't think Wissa is. But I've said multiple times my views on this, doesn't really make sense to go round in circles on it. Edited August 31, 2025 by Mole

May be harsh but any agent advising a player a verbal agreement is worth anything needs to be sacked. They're the same in that the players are both reporting promises being made by clubs and we don't know what's true and what isn't.

Aye we don’t know alll the facts and I hate the statement. But it seems as if Staveley made a verbal promise about a contract and she’s left. Isak has then said sometime later he wants to leave. It seems as if current Brentford ppl said Wissa could leave with a fair offer in some type of writing. If that is true. That’s a world of difference. and I’ve seen Wissa in training with the Brentford squad. Alex is refusing to train. If the above is true. It’s similar but not the same. Both should hand in transfer requests.

True we don't and we likely never will, so I'm just reading between lines about how both saga's has panned out that leads me to believe one is lying and one isn't. Obviously this would be easier if we had facts but unfortunately we don't.

Small amends within a provision of a contract can take written confirmation but most will need a written and signed amended contract or a new one. But staveley has long left and he has a contract where nobody at the club agreed he would leave.
