That's because the defence are allowing such clear cut chances. The last two games one of the four goals conceded is partially his fault with the poor punch from the corner against Sunderland, there's no way he can be expected to stop any of those finishes though, they're all from 3 or 4 yards out at most, the defence can't be letting people shoot from there. The 3 against City are two tap ins and one absolute worldy again two clear cut chances which the defence haven't dealt with and one which I doubt anyone would save. I certainly don't think he's great and is going to win us games on his own but he's definitely not the problem currently either.

You just seen the photo of him stood in the net right?

After he's tried to make a save from a header from 2 yards out which has gone back across the goal where Botman and Burn have allowed a forward to split them and win the header from there, it's easy to take a still and say he's bad, but he's not stood there for fun.

Nick pope for us this season 11 clean sheets in 30, Ramsdale 1 in 20. Top that off with us consistently scoring 1 goal it speaks volumes to me in what difference it could make.

The defence is obviously crap but Ramsdale is not up to it either.

Ramsdale is woeful. I can't understand why people think he should play ahead of Pope. Not least, he's not even our player and will hopefully be away soon.

Anything that comes in the box he's busy doing star jumps and windmilling his arms like some sort of mental cocaine-fuelled street dancer.

Think Pope's away in the summer, hence he's not getting a look in. Ramsdale getting signed as soon as the window opens is going to be lifting.

We aren't signing Ramsdale man.

It is not the first time he has ended up behind the line, or on his knees or sitting on his arse after an attack. The defence isn’t helping him, but he isn’t helping the defence either. Goalkeepers are meant to dominate their six-yard box. Pope has definitely had a dodgy season, but I would play him rather than Ramsdale any day. If he plays at Arsenal and has the deal with all their “shenanigans” I hate to think what might happen.

I would've said at one point that I could handle us signing him to be backup assuming we got a major upgrade on Pope. But his 1/10 ability to deal with any ball which comes across the box means it's such a massive risk having him on the pitch in any game. So many goals go in and you think he might as well not be there. His distribution is average to pish as well, which is supposed to be one of his strengths.

Whichever keeper isn't playing becomes better in the minds of the fans. They're both braindead puddings who shouldn't be starting for a club which has ambitions of qualifying for Europe every season.

If Pope was given a run of games there'd be people clammering for Ramsdale. Pope is a marginally better shot stopper and Ramsdale is marginally better with his feet but by and large they're two cheeks of the same arse.

I wouldn't be against keeping Pope as a back up next season purely because we have so much work to do that it'd be a lot better not having to shell out for a 2nd choice. If we spend more than about 5m on Ramsdale then I'll be very concerned

Just gonna casually drop this in here…

Odysseas Vlachodimos has established himself as a standout performer for Sevilla during his season-long loan from Newcastle United. Despite Sevilla's mid-table struggles, he has been statistically one of the best goalkeepers in Europe’s top five leagues regarding expected goals (xG) conceded

Aye, he'll do. Saves us spending on a backup or persisting with Pope. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

when he signed I looked at a highlights reel and the obvious problem with him seemed to be that every save he seemed to make the ball bounced back into a dangerous area. Never seemed to hold on to anything or direct it away from the goal.

Never tried to look at what he was like at Forest who obviously didn’t rate him. Eddie doesn’t seem to have been impressed but hard to believe he is worse than Ramsdale.

Not me, it's always been pope for me as he gives us a chance by keeping more clean sheets, end of ,- 1 clean sheet every 3 games this season compared to Ramsdales one every twenty

Or, if I remember my graffiti book correctly, one in Kate Bush is worth 2 in the hand.

I never believed Vlach was that bad, just wasn't considered because Eddie and club didn't really want to buy him.

Makes a lot of sense to keep him next season although not sure he would be on board with it when he could be first choice somewhere sunny.

Getting rid of Ramsdale and Pope would be refreshing as well.

TBH at this point I'd almost be prepared to start him next season
