Agreed. I'd take him if he was dirt cheap but he'd be nothing other than a stopgap really. Plus the AFCON thing would bite us in January, I'd just rather we avoided the whole thing and looked elsewhere tbh, he's not really impressed me at all

and it would irk me that we helped Chelsea financially.  Fuck them and the 9yr contract they put him on

For what it's worth this really feels like a situation where Chelsea wants to sell him to us, he wants to come to us, and we're like "...nah"

Surely the main thing is the fee that Chelsea want?

Probably. I'm sure we'd consider buying him instead of Wissa if he was available for a Wissa price.

If we’re ruthless we sign him or Wissa only. Keep Isak.

Not sure having 1 striker who wants to be here is a great idea. It may be ruthless towards Isak, but not great for the club or dressing room.

That’s the one for me. I’d love to see him gone for the asking price and bring in 2 fresh hungry strikers that respect the shirt and the club. Realistically the timing of it is all wrong, so keep him for another year with a good Wilson replacement (Wissa) and Isak will have to prove his worth and put himself back in the shop window if he wants his move (preferably abroad next season)

That’s what adds to it for me. He’s gonna bag some goals in our set up with Eddie coaching him along. Just want this one done then we can shut the door on Isak sale until next year (if the door isn’t already slammed shut).

The Liverpool links are playing havoc with my 2025 transfer activity anxiety

Just feel very strongly in my own opinion having watched him a lot for Chelsea the last two seasons that he’s a very talented player who would be galvanized by the environment we can create for him, unless, we got a bunch of forum boys saying he’s shit and all that and carries into the stands.

Yeah I’d spend 50-60m on Jackson or 30-40m on Wissa. Reintroduce Isak after his move to LFC doesn’t happen and then make an all out assault on 4 chances of glory.

id shithouse and siege mentality every fucking match too.

He's a relatively risk free signing, buy I wonder if he's the Wissa alternative if that deal falls apart.

Much prefer Wissa like more versatile and way more clinical.

Could Jackson play behind Isak (if it was him) prefer Wissa myself . But Jackson is fast in transitions and presses well.
