LFEE
You had me at Giroud… 😍 Happy to watch this lad with a fresh pair of eyes within our team as wasn’t struck on him the two games I saw him in the Euros. Hope he’s a massive success for us as that’s a big fee 🤞🏻 Trust in Howe as always...
KaKa
Amazing news and quite the coup. Doubt we would have pulled this off if we had moved for him earlier in the window. Surprisingly Bayern ended up messing up their move for him and pissing Stuttgart off and likely pissing the player off to some extent as well, and it's paid off massively for Newcastle. Staying calm and patient after missing out on other targets has paid off for the guys working on getting players in. Happy for them. Always great to see the bedwetters end up in the mud too, as this place has really been stinking of piss the last few days, so get those sheets washed please! Left to some on here we'd have been signing Hojlund such was the head loss going on!
Skeletor
In the same way Stuttgart didn't want to sell to Bayern and have agreed to sell to us, I hope we get a similar situation where a foreign club comes in for Isak for the right fee.
gazza ladra
Now sell Isak to Bayern. Fuck Liverppol.

A bit of an in-depth analysis of his game and compared with Isak and Ekitike. Antonio Mango's a decent watch. Initially thought he was a bit of a Sean Casey when I saw him on Loaded, mainly because he was always throwing loads of names around, but with hindsight I think it was more about who he likes rather than who we were after. Good video, also worth noting the video was made before the u21 tournament hype.

Civetty
Looks like a less elegant and smooth Isak but that does a similar job, he also seem to be stronger than Isak in some areas.

OpenC
I only watched one video but he looked like your archetype Good With His Feet For A Big Lad battering ram, great at taking the ball in the box, creating enough space to get a shot off and loving the top corners. Looked awesome and exactly the sort of finisher we've needed in that situation for years. Didn't see many/any worldies but we've got players who score those already, we need somebody who's right place right time to finish things off. No hindsight here and I might be dead wrong but I always felt Isak missed a fuckton of chances where he was pressured in a crowded box. I think he'll be fucking brilliant although there was no highlight reel of how many he missed in that same situation Edited August 29, 2025 by OpenC
Hank Marvin
♫ He's our striker and he's looking good We signed him up before Bayern could He's a giant & he's from Deutschland Sneak announcement for Champions League draw was planned ♫ I'm going to enjoy listening to the opening of Danny Kelly's Trans Europe Express on TalkSport even more from now on Edited August 29, 2025 by Hank Marvin
Skeletor
Watched a fair few of these this summer, including an Isak one and most of his shots are dangerous and accurate, which can't be said for a lot of other strikers in similar compilations. Even Isak had a fair few stinkers in his last 25 shots video.
timeEd32
Can he play 80-90 minutes or does he start loafing around at 65 minutes?

Kanj
Think I read the key for him is making quicker decisions in the box and getting the shot off, which we know Eddie and the team will work on with him. Love this, we’ll get watch him develop and he’s at the perfect place for it.
Skeletor
Generally had given up hope of there being a realistic target that we could replace Isak with this window. But if () he signs AND Wissa signs then we have a young striker with the potential to be one of the best in the world, and a proven goalscorer in the PL to balance PL and CL this year. Takes pressure off Woltemade if we have Wissa. That being said, I'm still "not to Liverpool under any circumstances" regarding Isak. Liverpool can't be allowed to win that. Mountain
Rejected by strikers all Summer then covertly land the most promising target. This guy has the potential to be incredible and I think the Prem suits him and he seems well up for it. 6'6 beast with twinkle toes. What a difference a day makes. TheBrownBottle
I’m ridiculously overexcited about all of this. Give the lad the no.9 shirt and chuck him in against Leeds Eddie. Yes, I know Howe knows best, but I reckon he should listen to me on this one 😁
