He’s a very good player that’s been let down by how the team are playing.

It’s obvious the signings that have potential and the ones who have been poor. Wolt firmly in the can do much better, unlike some others who have shown nothing.

He needs a team who dominates the ball and plays most of the game with 7-8 players constantly in the opposition's final third, in the way Bayern or City do, even Liverpool ironically. It's frustrating watching him being asked to chase down players and contest mostly aimless percentage long distance passes, and occasionally trying to run onto stray balls and not having the pace to make it. We're a million miles away from being a team who can make use of his obvious talents.

You watch Germany the last two games and their manager ensured that he went from him being totally isolated (like he is for us) to being totally involved throughout the game. Took the German manager four games to see the issue and put it right. Leaving him isolated with players ten yards behind him is not the answer.

Away from home he’s been isolated and doesn’t have the game (yet) to join the play up. He’ll be feeling terrible after today. I have much bigger concerns over Elanga and Gordon, Shearer would have decked the pair of them. Elanga just isn’t very good and Gordon by and large is all fart and no shit.

Yeah, he strengths are link up play and bringing other players into the game. Still think he'd be able to win the occasional header, though.

Hmm, you remember his first two goals were headers?

And he added a terrible own goal header today.

Nick can head the ball. :footy:

I meant with his back to goal. The opposition goal.

I’m sure he will get plenty of support and love from the squad and the fans, but boy that was a shocking performance.

He was HOWEver pretty much setup to fail. Absolutely knackered, supported by two useless wingers, full backs told to hold back and up against dominant defenders in the air.

Hopefully Wissa takes the pressure off and gives him some rest.

You're right I haven't but I've seen him play loads for us.

And I didn't see him play here. But I read that he was a star.

When you see him play for Liverpool and compare that to Ikitike, you wonder how anyone would pay €145 million for such a bumbling loser.

Rummenigge would have laughed himself silly.
