Surely the future is Wolte playing deeper with Wissa running off him. To the point it should be reflected in our future transfer policy - get another striker in and use Wolte for his natural attributes.

Customary moment where he stood and watched an inviting ball whizz across the box, but the two moments where he held up and drew fouls/made a progressive pass were exceptional hold up play. On the basis of the last two games he's a great asset to have off the bench when leading.

it's weird because he has shown he can do the goal poaching stuff already in his career here imo, it just doesn't seem to be something he's interested in doing sometimes?

Wissa and his movement makes me dread him coming on now

:okay:

Funny how anyone who pointed this out early season was met with snide comments everytime he scored a goal.

I want Wolt, Wissa and Barnes as the front 3 for Leeds.

It will be Gordon, Wolt, Barnes though

For Leeds? Can we see them play a few times for us first?

He's not a lone striker and we can't create space in pur current set up by having width and have players around him unless we have a second striker who's running creates more space for him to lose his man and turn.

I liked how Palace set up. Their wingers dropped centrally into the space between midfield and defence, so something like that might help Wolte with Tino/Miley and Hall providing the width.

No one could have said this when he was scoring as they was when Wissa was injured and hadn't played for us so his movement for us then was hypothetical. This statement now is based on his observations.

We were used to a fast striker with good movement around the box from last season. And, we watch a lot of football in general. We didn't need Wissa to play for us to be able to see that Woltes movement was lacking at times.

His statement was based on Wissa's movement being replaced.

Sure. Maybe not the best post to reply that to then. Point still stands. I also think it was a fairly easy guess that we've been missing someone like Wissa when he was out. We already knew that he was stronger, faster and more direct from his time at Brentford. It fits our current 4-3-3 setup better.

I agree as I'm a massive Wissa fan, also believe Woltemade has a place in the team just not in this formation.

Maybe because you’re perma-miserable bastards who can’t ever feel happiness? I know what we've had a fairly routine home win against a team that are generally good on the road, what I’m going to spend my energy doing is critique everything that didn’t go 100% right 🤦🏻

I think people are being harsh considering some of the goals he's scored so far are completely down to his movement / positioning.

I still don't think our wingers are communicating with him properly rather than him being too mobile
