In the games we think we will lose anyway, why not just try him with two holding midfielders, two narrow wingers and him in the middle behind Wissa?

Will the Earth implode if we try something different?

I mean he cost 70 million and is clearly very talented, why not get him on the ball with more space to dictate.

^ This.

And if the worry of trying both Wolte and Wissa together was the risk of Injury to one of them (straw clutching here - its clear EH doesn't wnat to change the system to fit them both in), hence rotating them, we have Big Willie back now to be the 60+min sub for one of them.

If he has nothing in his locker as a playmaker I wonder why half the fanbase is deliberating whether he is a natural no9 or 10. His form has dropped off recently but previously he was demonstrating putting team mates in dangerous positions with clever touches and awareness

For me hes not progressive enough and direct with his passing. Some smart lay offs doesnt make you a playmaker. As I said apart from the pass to Barnes there is nothing to suggest hes a 10 or anything like that.

Just the one pass, eh,and nothing like a 10. I suppose you could carry on dismissing the possibility out of hand that he is more suited to a withdrawn role, I'll have to disagree. Time will tell .

I wouldn’t say it produced nothing. From what I remember, there were promising signs.

This is what I took from it, and found Eddie's comment afterwards a little dismissive tbh

So roughly 60mins and that's that?

Great, clearly never going to work then.

He's been here nearly 5 months and still has the physical appearance of a skanky smack head for Elswick. Can someone not take him to the Toby for breakfast buffet and Big Lukes or Lau's** (if they still exist) and get some fucking protein and muscle on him.

** or that place at the bottom of Coast Road.

A deep-lying centre forward isn’t a ‘10’ or a playmaker.

Woltemade has shown practically nothing to suggest he’s a playmaker.

Sorry like. Scoring the winner against us in the derby is one thing, but vegan? Some things you just cannot let pass.
