Smal
he played really well in the 8 role against Villa and Spurs, so he has shown he can play there. Seemed to let his poor game against Qarabag midweek affect him a lot though and that carried through to today. Does seem to have a pretty major mentality issue though tbh. Gets knocked by poor performances/play pretty easily, and in terms of on the pitch he plays with zero aggression. Can't continue like that.
JoeyBartoon
He’s too slow and too weak. If you’re going to be one of the slowest players in the league, you’ve at least got to be able to get into position and hold the ball up — and he can’t even manage that. andycap
He joined the club as a nine he now finds himself playing as an eight he must be scratching his head. that screams of not knowing how to use him properly.

Andy
Maybe Eddie can see something I can't, but for me we should be looking to recoup some of our money in the summer while he still has good value. Never really looked a striker even when he was scoring goals, doesn't remotely look a midfielder. Whatever he is, I can't see him fitting into our system and I don't think we should be changing it to suit him.
St1pe
If he’s going to fail here (not that I think he has) it deserves to be in his actual position. This midfield experiment is ridiculous
Hanshithispantz
Everyone we're playing in the CF spot is never in the game save the odd match we're playing well in. He needs to work on his strength, as having a massive forward who's shite in the air is absolutely pointless, but his pace and movement isn't the reason he's not involved. Tiotes Witch Doctor
He's obviously being badly mismanaged, however, he doesn't have much going for him does he as has been said, can't win a header in the air, rarely shoots when he gets the chance, possibly the slowest player in the league, a weakling and comes across a little bit soft. Obviously has talent and skill but doesn't get the time on the ball to show it in this league, it's too fast too physical for him and games just pass him by, I don't think we could have signed a worse profile for how we play. He has quality like just the management are at odds on how to make him work playing a system that doesn't suit him.

The problem was Everton had a very aggressive midfield and he isnt suited to that battle. When he moved to space between the lines, no one played the pass. Except Thiaw and that created a chance for Joelinton. He is along with Bruno our only player that can receive the ball between the lines on the half turn. KaKa
Absolutely no point playing him, especially with Bruno now out of the team. Constantly finds spaces in between the lines, but the team is full of players that live to give the ball away and fail to execute a simple pass, never mind being able to punch it into his feet in those tighter areas. A criminal waste of his talents. This team is constructed to highlight all of his flaws instead. No idea why this profile of player was brought in, if there wasn't a better plan in place to utilise him.

We spent a fortune on him as well.

There's all kinds of players out there they could have panic bought, and done so for less money at that. Why on Earth did it have to be one that doesn't look at all suited to how the team plays, when they have no plan in place to accommodate him quicker? Just so infuriating man. joeyt
Nick takes too many touches when he receives the ball on the half turn and often gives it away. I think some people are seeing a better player in there than what he actually is
Displayname
Seems more and more like just a panic buy yeah, Eddie seem to struggle to find a way to utilize him. Honestly not sure if he fits in the PL in general, nevermind us.

He was popping the ball off much quicker and was more of a goal threat. Why the hell is he regressing?!
Spartan
I rate him and think if you play him with players in and around him (like Germany) he will produce. He is not suited to Howe's system though and I can't see that changing or Howe changing the system to suit. It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer with him.
