Problem with using your legs to block shots is it often goes straight back to where it came from or into a danger area. If you dive there's a chance of catching it or knocking it out to the side.

That said, in some situations a save with the feet can be a clearance too, which is obviously preferable to parrying the ball into the path of a striker to roll into your net.

BBC News before Match of the Day. "If you don't want to know the scores, you know what to do".

*one second later*

"Manchester United are on top of the Premier League..."

Fans who are unable to tell whether the ball has gone in the net when it ripples the side of the net. Majority of the time it's pretty fucking obvious the ball physically can't hit that part of the net and have gone in. Sidoon.

The whole referee respect thing tbh. It's a PR disaster, because as soon as there's a fuck up, it gets brought up and scoffed at.

The respect that players should be giving to referees can't work when they're also being told that they're wrong by managers, commentators, pundits, fans, referees assessors and the F.A. That will only stop when they do things right consistently. I don't think that can ever happen without technology. Until then, fuck saying it must be a hard job and fuck pretending to respect them when you know a decision is wrong. Support them to get the decision right and then I'll give them and FIFA a bit more respect. Campaigns without change are pointless imo.
