Astroblack
maybe the bigger mistake is thinking there should be a single hard rule for every situation for simplicity's sake instead of taking each one into account individually ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Winner! Dave
Players on the defending team assuming penalties are going to be scored. Tom Davies for Everton was fucking about with his socks as Cleverley took that one for Watford today, some of ours were doing it at Southampton as well. Really unprofessional. Loved Acuna for the opposite of this. Every penalty, for and against, he followed in with 100% effort.
HaydnNUFC
The verb "spunk" when referring to how much money a manager spends in a transfer window. "He spunked £70m in the summer."
Guest
£70m of any summer warchest is a lot to spunk even now.
Away Day Gadgie
How just about every set of fans (not us thankfully!) sing that s*** generic song. "........(insert club name) are the greatest team, the world has ever seen." - or something like that. Absolutely s***!

steve_69
Tottenham fans' limited repertoire of songs/chants. Whenever they're on the telly it really is painful to listen to. From what I can gather, they have 5 and they're all shit: You're facking shit He's one of our own (despite Kane spending time at Arsenal earlier in his career) Oh when the Spurs Don't take me home That new Sissoko one

madras
This "a forward who costs so much will get so many get so many goals" debate going on on here. Guest dabe
Use of the word "average" to denote players clearly far below average for their standard/league. See, most of our team but in particular Colback/Elliot.

See, most of our team but in particular Colback/Elliot. Who would you name as an average player from another team out of interest? Ryan Shawcross, Darren Fletcher, Sissoko off the top of my head maybe? An average, as in middle of the road player, good enough for a team in 8th-12th but not good enough at a larger club... Colback, for example, struggled in the Championship, ergo he isn't an average PL footballer.
Guest firetotheworks
Jordan Henderson is a regular starter for a team fighting for the champions league, man. This whole Henderson thing proper winds me up like. Mid-table player that's been around for a while, makes the odd mistake but is generally solid? My vote goes to Ryan Shawcross. steve_69
Jordan Henderson is punching way above his weight IMO. Take all those quality players with exceptional movement from around him, stick him in the England team and he shows his true standard. Bang Average! There's no bias on my part either. I could've give a shit that he's a mackem, he could be called Jordano Hendersinho for all I care - he'd still be bang average
Guest firetotheworks
It's a two way street imo, he's very good at playing quick, first-time balls into the front players when intercepting. Him and Dier alongside each other in midfield is just incredibly pointless though and why he never looks the same player for England. He needs a more creative, mobile player alongside him for it to work. I'm not sure I believe in players punching above their weight either tbh, they either fit in with the players around them, or they don't. A good contrast might be Danny Drinkwater so far for Chelsea vs Steve Sidwell at Chelsea.
