If I can see past a murderous regime running our football club I sure as hell aren't going to get myself worked up about John Hall, who basically made the stadium what it is today, and a Conservative MP having a chat inside it. As a point of note I think SJH deflected to Reform. Not 100% sure though.
Lush Vlad
Why should it be mutually exclusive? I mean I also have issues with the Saudi ownership. I thought it was wank that we had a friendly here for their national team and I think it would be a bit shit if we suddenly hosted the Crown Prince for some PR piece, for example. The same way I think this is shit. The club is being used as a vehicle to promote Robert Generic Jenrick’s leadership bid. All courtesy of Hall and allegedly without the club knowing. You genuinely don’t see an issue with this? In the North East in a predominantly and historically labour area. A Tory MP with designs on being leader of the opposition swanning around SJP for a photo op and some PR. All whilst the club ‘didn’t know about it.’ Or are you just being facetious even if you don’t give a fuck personally. Oh and so fuck of he’s Reform now?! Just semantics anyway and two cheeks of the same arse. They’re the right arse cheek, if you like and just an extension and extreme wing of the Tory party. Hr seems pretty in bed with him here and happy to assist him with his con leadership bid. So I can’t have an issue with this because we have morally reprehensible owners? I don’t think the club or ground should be used to promote politics or religion one way or the other and favouring certain sides. That’s all there is to it. Unless John hall ran amok hacking people's heads off and invented slavery then I think it's disrespectful for people to say all that shit about a bloke (who you rightly say) built the dream that we are all invested in. Is there anyway we can leave politics out of football, they are all cunts. Shall we change match of the day to a political debate for the greater good? Or maybe we should abandon football until the world is in a perfect state of equality? Maybe the most racist are the people that can't help taking about race when it's not even in the subject matter. Relax, enjoy, be good.

Sorry, ‘keep politics out of football’ in defence of John Hall doesn’t work when the cunt is inside SJP to promote a Tory leadership candidate It was Hall who pulled politics into football on this occasion
Kid Icarus
Yeah 'keep politics out of football' usually just means 'let me ignore the politics that's everywhere in football' often with the added opinion that it's disrespectful for anyone in football or the public eye to not wear a poppy. I sat in the stadium he built - the one he gave to his and Shepherd’s construction firms for inflated prices, built by fans’ money, not his. I watched the teams Keegan built, before Keegan was chased by Hall and Shepherd because of their greed in the club’s flotation. I saw the money we’d poured in squandered by their bad decisions and sent as profit to his son sat in a Gibraltar tax haven. For his few million seed money, Hall and Shepherd bled the club consistently through dividends and nepotism. Shepherd putting logistics through his brother’s warehouse, construction contracts fed to their own portfolios and then what they made selling to the cockney tapeworm. Eye-watering takeouts from these “saviours” and “fans”. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2009/feb/11/newcastle-united-freddy-shepherd-john-hall But let’s all be happy the out of touch old Tory cunt uses our ground, not “his ground”, as a vehicle for another blue tied grifter espousing his nonsense politics. I got soaked when it rained whilst watching some of the shittest players I've ever seen play for NUFC. I looked on as every talent we developed was sold as soon as an offer came in. I despaired as we hurtled towards division 3 and total oblivion. Hall came in. Nobody else would touch us with a barge pole lets not forget. He brought in Keegan. We then went on the have the best few years I've ever had as a Newcastle fan. 92/93 to 95/96 was just magical. The football was on another planet to what I'd ever seen before. I watched as SJP, which was an embarrassment of a football ground, was transformed into one of the best arenas in Europe. We celebrated as we broke the World transfer record to bring Alan Shearer home. We played in the UEFA Cup, then we played in the Champions League, just a few years after nearly being in Division 3. Great times. The best times I've had in my 40+ years as a supporter. Thanks to Sir John Hall. That's why I'll never say a bad word against him. Same reason I'll always love Amanda Staveley. She's made a tidy penny out of NUFC no doubt but again left the club in far better shape than she found it so for me she deserves every penny she's walked away with.
