As a reference point, Spurs clearly communicate that the extra lowey for their top tier membership gets you on an ST waiting list and priority tickets

Transparency. I love it.

Hey lads, how about we make the final first?

We’re taking hypothetically about cup finals we might play in and season ticket waiting lists we might create

I don’t think anyone has jinxed it and said we’ll be at Wembley in March

That’s a reference point for Spurs. We announced 1000 STs with a strange criteria clearly and I dare understandably due to circumstances but then did the same with the Final tickets last time.

Just find it strange they’d cut off a revenue stream amidst selling players left right and centre. Just my hunch anyway 👍🏻

Was just showing Spurs to demonstrate how easy it is to be transparent, I live in hope that someday we also have a similar level of visibility

But alas, we have a Ticketing Team who appear to huff on a large bag of Bostik then make decisions about how tickets are divvied out

This image if it is to be in the readability study is not showing the footprint of an extended SJP, it is showing why we can’t extend SJP.

First of all it is showing level 7 all the way around the stadium, which we know doesn’t have the space for a modern stadiums amenities.

Secondly it is showing where we would have to knock down 2 listed rows of terraced housing. The yellow shaded area is showing what is a legal right of way which would have to be taken away.

Thirdly, it is showing how it would go over the path for the Metro if there was to be an extension. A lot of clever people actually think the dashed line represents where the tunnel goes now for the Metro turn around.

Finally, the blue line is showing the emergency vehicle and general vehicle route access to the RVI, meaning a Gallowgate extension would still need a tunnel under it. This would again limit concourse space, and would make the layout for Shearers Bar, and the Club store very weird, and would potentially push both of them onto the Stack site. This would be poor form particularly for Shearer’s, as it would then no longer be able to show home 3pm KO’s, as it wouldn’t be in the same location as the event is taking place.

Man City are stopping new season tickets.  Wounder if that will be the new trend.

Been a trend for a while now. Other than those 1,000 we haven't sold any new season tickets for over 3 years and pretty much all the biggest supported teams cap their ST numbers at very low levels. Liverpool only sell 27k season tickets and Anfield has a capacity of 61k. Think ours is now capped at 31k or thereabouts.

They'd rather sell memberships and have different people sat in the seats each week (paying a lot more than the cost per match of a ST holder) rather than the same old faces who'll be stuck in a routine and won't spend the same amount of money in the club shop, bars etc.

Making fans pay more to increase revenue is fucking insane when you've physically got funds waiting to be spent on average players with the sole purpose of flipping them a year later for a mediocre profit to appease the PSR gods.

That's another PSR flaw. Clubs literally having to squeeze every penny out of every revenue source, and unfortunately the supporters are one of the biggest revenue sources.

Season tickets make a lot of sense for any club at any level that doesn't regularly sell out. Guarantee a load of revenue up front, money coming in no matter how the season turns out, allows for owners to plan financially.

If you're a club where demand is exceeding supply significantly - then they make almost no sense at all from a strictly financial perspective. Far better to have as many people as possible buying memberships just to have their hat in the ring and a constant cycle or different people on matchdays who are more likely to have additional spend.

The fact they even punted those 1000 STs the other year was surprising really.

He's not, although I initially did (quite understandably) think that was the case. He uses social media like an old man and then seems annoyed when nobody has a clue what he's trying to say.

Completely agree :) - I was scratching my head when I read it.   The replies often made it worse.  Can’t believe he’s a lawyer if his communication and written skills are that poor.

They did last time. Obviously there was a bit of uproar about how they went about, and no doubt there will be again, however they decide to do it.

If I remember correctly the allocation is slightly more than (what we believe to be) the number of ST holders, and that’s without considering that not every single ST holder would apply.

Should be a lot less uproar this time really if we do get to the final due to the cup scheme,  everyone enrolled in that will obviously get one. Its what they do after that with any remaining tickets that will be interesting.

If and when we get more seats, we should not increase the number of season tickets. This seems the logical direction both to increase revenue and allow access to the highest number of fans possible.
