I was told yesterday be someone close the to the details of it it’s all signed off on Leazes and the delay is they are trying to get money off the council as Man Utd are getting some so we want it. Also plan do build new park and flats hotel on St James and where the stack is. We can then use these like Chelsea. As long as they haven’t found a way to close that loophole by then 😂

They shouldn’t be taking money off the council, IMO, regardless of what Man Utd do.

Think someone has been winding you up, pal. That sounds like absolute bullshit.

They should for the park if it’s public.

Not really, think it's more likely they grant permission for a private project on the grounds that we pay for some public improvements. I think that happens a fair bit in planning, like a new shopping centre will help to pay for the surrounding roads etc.

Like new estates and management companies.

I said ‘should’ not ‘would’. I think public amenities should be paid for with tax payer’s money. That’s one reason we pay taxes.

Have to love this place people want information then when you give it from a very good source you get grief 😂😂

There is a difference between getting actual information over some ITK nonsense.

I'd be canny annoyed if something Man Utd are doing is causing a delay with our potential new stadium. Not that I believe it but it would make sense. If Manchester receive an injection of 100 million worth of taxpayer funding then why shouldn't every club who wants a new stadium?

It’s not the council that Man Utd are getting money from, it’s central government, additionally it’s not towards the stadium itself but for other things such as the relocation of the rail yard.

I also do not think we’ll get away on building anything where SJP is, where the Stack is, but not on SJP.

I've seen evidence myself that suggests new stadium on Leazes is the scheme that's being developed. If PIF get their arse into gear, would be very surprised if it ends up being just a refurb of St James.

Whatever happens, the lack of communication from the club has been appalling.

Everton’s new stadium has an Amazon Fresh like kiosk where you scan your card to get in, then take what you want including alcohol that has already been pre-poured/bottom filled.

I think it’s a pretty good idea, and would potentially limit queues, particularly at half time.

As much as I think internally their stadium is bland, I do like the steepness that they have, you can only really see it when it’s full of people in the stands.

There are elements of the stadium we should be implementing to be honest.

Even if it is true - and it doesn't sound like it to me (they're building a stadium, not the NE's answer to Area 51) - then it is a complete and utter fucking disgrace if the club's owners - worth c.1tn and 20bn respectively - go to the council for a handout for soft landscaping; especially given the bollocks that Staveley came out with re 'investment in the region' to help get the takeover approved (which so far appears to be a stake in Newcastle Airport).

It's bollocks, planning submissions are public, nothing is submitted, let alone signed off.

Absolutely, hence the Area 51 reference - it is all public domain, to allow the public to put forward any issues with the proposed development.  If folks are going to try and pretend to be ITK, I wish they'd line the facts up first.

We do this here. At Coors Field we scan a card and our ID at the beginning of a queue and then just walk and shop and it picks up what we grab.

That new Arena in Manchester has little Co-Op stores on the concourses where you can buy what you want off the shelves. Food, drinks and peeve.
