Leazes1986
EVERTON RES 2 NEWCASTLE UNITED RES 1 Premier Reserve League Halton Stadium, Widnes Tuesday, April 3, 2007 Kick-off 7pm Craig Hope reports from Halton Stadium ... A SECOND-half double from James McFadden wiped out Andy Carroll's opener as Everton snatched all three points from a game The Magpies had deserved to take something from. Lee Clark's side were going into the match on the back of an impressive 3-0 victory at Sheffield United last week, and had a chance to open the scoring within 30 seconds, Jonny Godsmark's delicate chip lacking the height to beat Richard Wright after he was slipped in by James Troisi. The hosts then struck Fraser Forster's crossbar twice in the space of a minute, first McFadden rattled the woodwork with a dipping 30 yard volley in the 8th minute, before Steven Morrison saw his side-footed effort bounce clear after connecting with Stephen Connor's cross 12 yards out. But it was Carroll (14) who headed the visitors in front, the 18-year-old climbing highest at the far post to head David Edgar's floated centre into an empty net after Wright had rushed from his line to try and take the delivery. The Toffees drew level after the break, McFadden (54) capitalsing on Peter Ramage's loose back pass to slot past Forster from 10 yards out. Matty Pattison showed the touch of class just after the hour that has earned him high praise from Clark in recent weeks, the South African spinning away from two Everton challenges on the left flank before delivering a teasing cross to the far post, but James Marwood could only side-foot into the arms of a grateful Wright. That was before Scottish international McFadden grabbed his second and Everton's winner on 82 minutes, firing home a rebound from close range after Forster had palmed away Anderson Da Silva's shot following a surging run from midfield.
1878
Very experienced Everton side too It wasn't really Only Richard Wright and McFadden have played in the first team. And Wright doesn't count because he is absolutely shite. The rest of the team was made up of teenage kids much like your own side. Oh, and a random Brazilian that will probably be released in the summer after never kicking a ball for the first team.

Crumpy Gunt
Notice Everton bringing an injured 1st team player back to fitness by putting him in the reserves. NUFC wouldn't do such a thing.
